I do not recommend going at all — they will try to deceive you with the product. We went today, July 6th, for lunch around 2:00 PM. We wanted to try the carabinero de Santa, which they have on the menu. We asked before sitting down if they had it, and they said yes. They told us it cost €13 per piece, and we ordered four. When they brought them out, we could clearly see that not only were they not from the local area, but they were also frozen, not fresh. The carabinero de Santa is large and has orange eyes. What they served us was just a generic frozen carabinero. When we complained, they challenged us, implying we didn’t know what we were talking about. They said the eyes change color when cooked. We asked twice for them to bring out a fresh carabinero so we could confirm that it was really from Santa, with its distinctive orange eyes. They never did. What they did bring us was the bill — essentially telling us to leave. Don’t go. They will deceive you, and if you complain, they’ll try to treat you like an idiot — especially one of the younger waiters, who was particularly rude.
I add photos of what they served us, you can see that I can pinch the carapace of the carabinero, a sign that it is not fresh and I add photos of how a carabinero of Santa should look like.ours...
Read moreThis is definitely one of the best places we found on the island. The food is absolutely amazing — very simple, full of flavor, and served quickly. The prices are also very reasonable for what you get.
A lot of people mention the service. We came for lunch when it was really busy, and honestly, I was impressed by how the staff managed to serve so many people while constantly on the move. Just don’t expect personalized service. It is more about the food, the good vibes, and enjoying the moment.
Better to get a table outside if you can, but there are also indoor seats for lunch, which are perfectly fine.
We came back twice because everything we tried...
Read moreAbsolutely the best food we’ve had on the island! Everything is made from fresh ingredients – you can tell even by the amazing house-made sauce, which is incredibly tasty. The shrimp are the best we've ever eaten, and the "karabinieri" are unforgettable. The fish soup is full of flavor, the octopus is cooked to perfection, and all the fish are freshly caught just 50 meters from the restaurant. On top of that, the staff are friendly, kind, and welcoming. A truly special place – our number one address on the island! I wanted to add some photos of the food, but it was so delicious we ate it before we even took...
