Me and my partner went here two times during our 11 day stay in Torremolinos and Málaga. We got a bit tired of Spanish food and wanted to try something else...so when we saw that there was a Georgian restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised!
I have never eaten Georgian food before but it was really tasty and flavourful. I image the Georgian cuisine is both hearty and fresh at the same time, with lots of coriander/cilantro in many of the dishes. We ate Khinkali (dumplings with beef and Georgian spices) , Chashushuli (meat stew with coriander), Chlmeruli (fried chicken in a sauce made of yogurt I think and garlic) and Kubdari (a breadlike pie with minced meat and spices).
I LOVED the Kubdari and could have probably have eaten it all by myself and it was even better with sourcream/smetana (even if I don't know if that is the traditional way to eat it but we did...). The chicken in sauce was good but a little bit too much of garlic for our taste. Meat stew was delicious, especially with using fresh bread as utensils to dip the sauce with. Dumplings was very tasty as well and all and all, food was great.
We sat outside both of the times so we didn't really get to experience the atmosphere inside, but we were content. I also tried a typical Georgian beverage called Tarhun or Natakhtari with tarragon and I do not recommend that one...if you are not very much into beverages that taste a lot like herbs, tarragon and anis. But it was fun to try something new at least :)
I highly recommend this restaurant and I am exited to try out more of Georgian cuisine...
Read moreAs a fan of Georgian cuisine, my expectations were quite high, perhaps influenced by the amazing dishes my mother-in-law prepares. My experience at this restaurant was a mix of hits and misses:
Khachapuri (Samegrelo style): This was the highlight of the meal, capturing the essence of Georgian flavors well. I’d rate it an 4/5 for its rich taste; Chicken and Pork Kebab: Unfortunately, this dish fell short of my expectations. While it seemed to be cooked properly, the meat itself lacked flavor, leading to a disappointing 1/5; The dolmas were underwhelming, with a noticeable lack of filling and not quite the meticulous wrapping I’ve come to expect from traditional Georgian cuisine 2/5; Churchkhela: I was looking forward to trying this, but sadly, it was not available during my visit.
Overall, while there were some enjoyable aspects, notably the Khachapuri, the overall experience didn’t fully live up to my expectations of...

I had the champions con queso sobre ketsi and it was as good if not better than the starter in the Italian we used to go to in the UK village where we used to live, we had swordfish as mains, just look at the picture, it couldn't have been larger and certainly one of the best we have ever tasted and we do eat it a lot here in Spain. This is a highly recommended evening stop when in Torremolinos. Visited again in November 2024 and it was as good if not better than last visit, I had the mushrooms again followed by quail (2 of them) and they were delicious, wife had 2 kebabs and apparently they were also fantastic. We really cannot recommend this place highly...
