As someone who has been coming several times a week, and has recommended this place to family and friends as the waitresses are VERY GOOD and the food tastes nice, I am very dissapointed with the owners decision of no allowing people to use their own laptop when having breakfast. I understand small businesses may struggle to survive, and that’s why every time I go I always order drinks and food (which is not cheap), tip and leave 10/15min (max) after having my meal. I have never gone when it is busy as I always check if there are enough tables and always offer to change tables if needed in case I have to, and if it gets busy I rush to leave. I have never ever complained about how hot the coffees are served by the owner who makes the coffees when every time I go I please ask them not to.
I understand some people might take the piss, but you need to identify these individuals and instead of having a rule of “no laptops” you should just approach them and offer them more food/drinks once they are done eating to “invite them to leave”. I imagine no books either...
Read moreI'd Google maps the area previous to see what restaurants were about, the name " soulfood" stood out. ( as its illegal to label yourself that and not serve good food haha ) I found it on my first day, located at the torremolinos end of the beach, right before the "cat cave" cliff walk, but unfortunately I'd arrived to late as they close by 3:30. I spoke with the owner and checked out the menu and said " I'll be back " I went back yesterday for brunch and boy, I wasn't disappointed. I chose the eggs with hummus and curried chickpeas, avocado and chilli oil, served with local , fresh made toasted bread. Delicious and honestly, one of best meals I've ever had in Spain. Tastiest anyway! Holiday food , unless you know where to go can often quite bland and cater for set tastes. SOULMADE definitely catered to mine. Eggs are the main focus, but the also make salad bowls, cold breakfast bowls and have vegan and gluten free options at no...
Read moreHad an amazing breakfast here with my family on what was sadly our last day in Spain. Our previous breakfast recommendation for Torremolinos was subpar. After some deep diving I found this gem right around the corner from our air bnb. It’s easy to drive or walk to and everything we had was delightful.
My wife’s cappuccino was excellent as was my flat white and the croissant was clearly homemade and served with homemade strawberry jam. Spanish eggs Benedict was perfect and their toast with vegetable and ham selections were also great. I’m only sad because we didn’t find the place earlier.
To top it all off the service was excellent and kind. We got to speak with the owners as well and they were so kind. Just an all around excellent experience if you want some authentic but also homemade and eco friendly breakfast.
I almost forgot to mention you can enjoy this all while overlooking the...
