Read moreWe visited this restaurant for lunch based on several recommendations. Even without a reservation, we were seated quickly, which we appreciated given how busy it was. The decor is modern and stylish, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough for conversation.
Service was polite, though a bit slow - understandable given it was a full house. The soup was tasty, and while the steak came more well-done than the medium rare requested, the flavour was still good.
Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the hygiene and presentation. Some of the decorative elements used for serving (such as a “bird’s nest” under the soup bowl and ornamental pieces with the main) appeared unclean and impractical for food service. One of the spoons arrived with visible dried food on it, and when replaced, no apology was offered.

There was a daily menu that looked good (and good value) but we decided on a couple of main dishes. First was the grilled pork loin. It was pretty bland, and a tad chewy. The presentation was a bit cheesy with the fake flaming logs! Came with a baked potato that could have used a few more minutes in the oven.
The seafood paella came after about 20 minutes (they did give us a heads up on timing). The flavor was pretty good as could taste that the broth used to cook the paella was deep. Lots of shrimp and clams. The rice was a little soft but not bad. It was baked in an oven rather than over a flame so there wasn’t any crusty bottom. It’s for a single serving so the dish was on...
