Shang Hai — Restaurant in Torremolinos

Just left this restaurant, read the reviews before attendance and had high expectations, unfortunately this was not the case. We ordered starters, my Fiancé's starter was Samosa and was out of a packet, no even presentation to make up for this fact.

We ordered a few different items, our sides came before our mains, my main was cold as we waited on my Fiancé's chicken to arrive 10 minutes later - the noodles, rice and my tofu was by then cold. We ate it as we were both starving, however, the plates on everything was dripping in oil and tasteless.We also witnessed another guests meal being heated in a microwave as we were waiting.

We then got the bill and offered complimentary drinks, every other guest was given 'fortune cookies'. It is tradition for us to get a fortune cookie when we go to a Chinese as it is a bit of entertainment to us. When I asked if we could have a cookie, I was told " they don't have them and only do them in America" even though the two tables beside us got them. This was descrimination against us.

To anyone reading this review, like I had read previous ones, this is a very truthful account of tonight so I hope this helps advise other tourists, only go here if you want bad customer service and...

I very rarely write a bad review, but I just can’t sit by and have the seemingly amazing reviews fool anyone else.

We really tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but the food was truly abysmal, not only did it taste like it was days old, but all the meat had a weird taste and/or soft texture (the pork was even a bit shiny.) We ordered 6 dishes and ate a 1/4th of our order before not being able to stomach anymore.

The waiter initially put the onus on us for not flagging the food quality at the first bite but eventually offered to charge us half on the plates we basically didn’t touch… all in all a very poor experience and would advise you to turn the other...

Absolutely disgusting that a turtle is stuck in a tiny filthy tank gasping for air. Free them all now.

Please do not reply to my review saying you have looked after & love this turtle. If you loved it, it would not be living in these conditions. That is not just what a turtle needs, it needs stimulation. There is absolutely nothing for that turtle to do, see or explore in that filth tiny tank. Turtles also need land, they should not be kept in water all the time. Imagine if you was in that tank your whole life? Put yourself in that...
