We have eaten here a couple of times in the past when visiting Carihuela, usually as our last night spend of the holiday. Firstly, lingering by the street side of the restaurant there were many members of staff just sat around watching us, which we thought was odd because they'd been poaching anyone who was walking past all week.
So we made our way around to the beach entrance, we were welcomed by a gentleman and we asked to sit by the entrance so we had a view. He had to clear and clean tables for us to have a seat, and kept trying to push us to eat inside the actual restaurant.
The waiter was very rude. I was attempting to splash out on the kids and the food order but he kept cutting me off. He also said that bread and garlic alioli would be coming to the table, i did not have to order it... yet was charged 4,50 on the bill.
The good points, the steak was incredible. My daughter ordered the sirloin and it was cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Unfortunately it was accompanied with 2 potato wedges and a handful of over cooked, mushy vegetables, for 26,50 i expected just a little more. maybe even just chips? Spaghetti bolognese my husband LOVES and always says it is really nice from here. The garlic bread had a gorgeous crisp and went perfect with all our dishes.
But that is where it ends, my chicken Paella was more of a tomato risotto and even though the waiter kept pressing that it would take 20 minutes, this was because it was precooked and then just baked in the oven it was literally stuck to the bottom of the pan. The garlic mushrooms were sauteed mushrooms laid in a bath of garlic oil with some fried garlic on top for show, really hard to eat they were super greasy. AND THEN there was a kids meal issue, we arrived at the restaurant with a leaflet that honoured 10% off or a free children's meal. This was taken off my 4 year old who was going to claim his free meal for starters, with no mention of his meal being taken off the bill. THEN his children's pizza came out, and for 8 whole euros I paid for a piece of bread with some tomato puree and cheese that was MICROWAVED. I was gobsmacked.
The whole of the above + two chocolate milkshakes, two waters and a pint of sam miguel AND the bread and alioli came to 105 euros. THE most expensive restaurant in Carihuela by far and the quality and service does not make it any better.
Also, on the beach side the plastic cover roof thing is actually...

Tabora Beach in Malaga delivered one of the most special dining experiences I’ve had recently, hitting all the right notes from the cuisine to the atmosphere, and especially the service.
The food was truly exceptional. I ordered the Mussels in Tomato Sauce, and they were outstanding. The tomato sauce was intensely flavorful and rich, yet it achieved a perfect union with the tender mussel meat. I savored every bite and intentionally took my sweet time enjoying this dish.
Equally delightful was the bartender's special drink, which was made uniquely for me based off a very vague description on my part—an absolutely delightful and personalized touch that enhanced the entire meal.
What truly elevated the experience was the service. The wait staff was incredibly courteous and attentive throughout the evening. I felt genuinely well taken care of and appreciated their warm approach. It's rare to find such high-quality attention to detail.
Adding to the magic was the lively ambiance. Situated on a vibrant street, the atmosphere was continually boosted by frequent buskers passing by, providing a wonderful soundtrack to dinner. Tabora Beach isn't just a restaurant; it’s an experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for phenomenal food and memorable service in the...

He was snivelling all through our meal. I so him catch his sneeze on numerous occasions 8n his hands he had not washed them touched glasses and menus without any consideration to the customers. He was only interested in chatting the young ladies up coming past the cafe. On top of this my sausages were raw inside of which I sent back obvious food poisoning if eaten. I was still charged for them. I had to address again to my embarrassment. I saved 2 euros. Never again! The only plus was the female waitress who was lively, lovely and supportive. It's a shame the rest of the staff weren't...
