Review of 222 in Torrevieja: A Beautiful Location with Room for Improvement in Service

222 in Torrevieja boasts an absolutely stunning location. Sitting outdoors in the middle of winter, basking in the warm Mediterranean sun while enjoying a perfectly crafted gin and tonic, is a true luxury. The setting is idyllic—bright, inviting, and perfect for unwinding with a good drink or a bite to eat. It’s a place that captures the essence of relaxation, making it an appealing spot for both locals and visitors alike.

However, despite the incredible setting, the service leaves much to be desired. Some staff members seem disengaged, almost indifferent to the customers. They, and especially one woman in the staff serving me, avoid eye contact, appear unmotivated. That woman in the staff surprisingly do not even acknowledge a simple “thank you” when spoken to. Instead of offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere, some of the staff often turn away, making interactions feel cold and impersonal. This lack of service-mindedness is a stark contrast to the otherwise inviting surroundings. Truth to be said, this description is not fair for describing all of the staff and personnel, but at least just a few.

The food is disgusting. I order my cheeseburger, chicken burger, fries and octopus. I waited like 25- 30 minutes. The waiter is so un thankful and not friendly at all they are rude. Nosotros pediamos el menú del día, pensando que costaba 11.90 euro. Entramos hacia la derecha y pediamos el menú del día. Comiamos y tomabamos cerveza. Llega la cuenta y con mucha sorprea costo 18.90 por persona mas dos cañas de cerveza. El Complejo de Ocio 222 esta dividida en tres? partes. Heladería, Cerveceria y Restaurante. En vez que decirnos que 11.90 era el precio del Restaurante, cobraba 18.90 euro pp. No dijieron nada y ni siquiera nos dió una lista (menú) realmente nos han tomado el pelo. Somos dos jubilados suecos, no con mucho dinero. Disfrutamos el sol y el Mediterranio. Si quieren disfrutar el menú del día, aseguren se que entran al Restaurante. Pregunta por el precio y pide la lista (menú). Muy mal. Elige otro lugar. Se que es un lindo lugar pero ojo. Cuidado con la cuenta....
