The only reason I am giving this awful restaurant a single star is that it served a very good house red wine. Unfortunately, that is the first and last positive I can make. The food was extremely disappointing. I should have known how the meal would unfold when the vegetable spring roll brought to our table was nestling is a pool of grease! My fish soup was okay but my wife's mushroom soup had 4 thin slices of mushroom and I joked that it resembled a finger bowl rather than a soup. My fish main course was, again, greasy. My wife's main course of bamboo shoot and mushroom was almost entirely made of fried onion with little of what it was meant to include. She asked what sauce she could have with her main course and was told soy sauce. The waitress that served us was, like all he colleagues, masked. Her demeanour was dour and unpleasant and if ever a restaurant needed the redeeming feature of cheerful service it is this place - but even that was missing. We spent just shy of €40 on this sad excuse of a meal and it is honestly the worst we have had in the month that we have been here. Avoid at all costs - you've been warned! Forget greasy spoon - think...
Read moreThe house wine is nice. When someone comments about the wine first, just know, the food was poor. Heavy on onions and the seafood sizzle thing had cheap fish sticks in it. Mushroom soup had less than one mushroom in it, nothing else, just warm stock and half a mushroom. The staff weren’t particularly friendly or helpful and some sounded like they have a heavy cold, so maybe being sick explained they lack of interest in customers. Dessert menu was one of those pre-made, bought-in things, which was probably the best thing on offer. I heard some people tell the staff that their food was great, it was like we were in a different restaurant. Definitely no way if you are vegan or vegetarian. Normally Chinese would be a good bet, not here, no flexibility on sauces, choice was take it or leave it. The mushroom soup tasted of chicken, the veg spring roll had oil running out of it. Awful, right up there with the worse Chinese food I’ve ever had. It was edible, just, we arrived hungry, left thirsty, so much MSG (I’m guessing), go next door to the Bayside, the staff are lovely and the food is good and fresh. We...
Read moreI think personally this is the best Chinese restaurant in Torrevieja. They have a huge menu, but still all food are fresh and tasty. You may ask for changes in menu. Like change soup with springroll etc. It's very fast max 15 minutes and you have the food. The personal are watching tables and as soon as something empty they ask if you need more drinks, rice etc. We are here often. We also order food and bring home. Easy to order on phone. They speak good English. The prices are fantastic. 40€ then you are stuffed and stk carrying a doggybag with you home. This evening we where he we came early. So little people. But if you eat at normal Spanish time around 8-9 pm then reserve a table. They have outdoor and indoor tables. My guess is they have about 300 seats. If you tired of Spanish food or heavy food. This is the place to go. Highly recommended. They also have free wifi as...
