Smashed Burger — Restaurant in Torrevieja

After a lengthy search for a truly outstanding burger joint that offers more than the typical smash burger hype, I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem in Torrevieja.

During my first visit, which I embarked on quite by chance, I was immediately captivated by the establishment. The chef, who had to manage everything single-handedly that day, prepared a burger for us that was simply delicious. I never imagined I would be so enthusiastic, and it was clear that I had to return.

By my second visit, I had been eagerly anticipating the Big Mac that the chef had recommended to me last time. I was not disappointed! We were warmly welcomed, which delighted me, and the chef even remembered us – a lovely personal touch!

The burger itself was exceptional. The meat had a rich, savoury flavour, the edges were beautifully crispy, and the inside remained juicy. While that may sound standard, not every burger place achieves such perfection with the meat as this one does. The bun was light and not overly sweet – just the right balance to complement the burger without ruining it, as so many other establishments do with excessively sweet brioche buns. The fries, served with a special salt blend, were crispy and fresh. Although I usually prefer simply salted fries, this mix won me over just the same. It was not the typical supermarket fry seasoning; the fries also had a fresh oil taste that one often doesn’t find in other places. I have received fries before where it was evident they had been fried in old oil or even double-fried – an absolute no-go, which was certainly not the case here.

I must particularly highlight the two homemade sauces: the aioli had a wonderful garlic flavour that, as a Spaniard, was not typical for me, yet I was all the more eager to try it. The BBQ sauce was particularly smoky and flavourful, surpassing all others I have tried in burger joints – it eventually became our favourite!

At the end of our visit, we had a lovely chat with the chef, which I truly appreciated. The friendliness, the effort he puts into his work, and the outstanding burger result make Smashed Burger my current favourite burger place.

I can only say that such a burger place, even if it’s “just” about burgers, is not easily found everywhere. I am very much looking forward to my next visit, and I wholeheartedly recommend Smashed Burger to anyone who values good quality and...

Hands down the best burger you can get in town.

This was my first visit and I was seriously impressed. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming — you can tell he really cares about every customer and puts his heart into the place. It’s rare to get that kind of honest, genuine service these days.

I had the cheesebacon smash burger and it was unreal — full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and just hit all the right notes. The fries were just as good, super crispy and seasoned right.

En smakupplevelse utöver det vanliga – ett måste i Torrevieja!

Jag hade hört så mycket gott om det här smashed burger-stället i Torrevieja att jag till slut inte kunde hålla mig – det var dags att testa själv. Med höga förväntningar klev jag in, och redan från första stund blev jag positivt överraskad. Personalen mötte mig med ett leende och en värme som verkligen kändes genuin. Och ägaren, enastående trevlig. Det märks att passionen finns där – både för maten och för gästerna. Dessutom pratar de svenska, engelska och spanska, så det är lätt för alla att känna sig hemma här.

Jag beställde min burgare och slog mig ner på den fina uteserveringen. Spänningen steg. Och när hamburgaren väl kom – wow. Redan efter första tuggan var det som att jag lyfte från marken. Det här var inte bara gott – det var magiskt. Alla lovord jag hört innan kändes plötsligt otillräckliga. Den här burgaren överträffade allt. Och kladdkakan efter hamburgaren var likadan i smak.

Stället är dessutom skinande rent, både inne och ute, och det finns gott om sittplatser. De har toalett, det finns parkeringsmöjligheter – allt är genomtänkt. Menyn är riktigt bra, priserna är rimliga och upplevelsen är komplett från början till slut.
