Restaurant La Sal de l'Estartit — Restaurant in Torroella de Montgrí

We had no booking and were quickly accommodated for 7 adults, 1 child and 2 babies. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good but I was disappointed by my portion. I ordered the grilled salmon which had one small baby potato cut in half. There should be 3 baby potatoes as they're very small. Vegetables serving on plate was also small and could be improved. I also ordered a chocolate brownie for dessert and it came with a very thin slice of ice cream which was not enough. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and the food was tasty. La Sal is a gem by the sea. As an Irish tourist, I couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. The view of the pier was stunning, and the service was genuinely amazing—friendly, relaxed, and warm from start to finish.

The seafood was fresh and full of flavour. I had the Thai red seafood curry and my family tried the sea bass and the steak —both were spot on. With a glass of red wine and the sound of waves in the background, it was a meal to remember.

If you’re in the area, definitely make time for La Sal. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, soak it all...

Ordered a medium + entrecôte, got one that was more rare than medium +.. Told them, got it back, better cooked but still more a medium - than a medium +. Meat was really tough as well, told them, got back a new piece but this one was also almost raw. Sent it back, did not want a new one, had to argue to get a discount..
