Mesón del Jamón — Restaurant in Trevélez

Great spot to eat in a small town. We arrived in Trevélez by car as one of our stops to see and found this spot on google. You will have to park the car at some point on the only main road that goes through the town and walk the rest of the way but it is easily found. The gentleman running the place when we arrived around noon on Friday was friendly and the plates of ham and cheese were delicious and affordable. Lovely terrace with a great view over "ham city". Food was delicious but somewhat lacking in vegetables/sauces. I had a local dish of pork with fried semolina, which was very tasty indeed, just a bit dry as it didn't come with any sauce or vegetables - just meat and carbs. My husband had a platter of different meats, which came with fried potatoes and green peppers. Again very tasty but just could have done with something a bit "wet"...

Beautiful views, gorgeous food honestly go there for dinner .We had prawns and trout with the unmissable trevelez ham and get the raspberry and aniseed liquor, locale of course and raspberry and lemon tart for dessert, 😋 delicious and such...
