Cafetería El Drago — Restaurant in Tuineje

This morning we discovered Café Bar El Drago and what a fantastic find it was! On this sunny Sunday, the place was full of local families, all enjoying their breakfast — and now we know why!

We had the freshly made churros with hot chocolate, and they were simply divine. The churros were perfectly crisp, fragrant, and light, while the hot chocolate was rich, thick, and wonderfully decadent — a real treat!

The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the lovely lady behind the bar served everyone with a warm smile and incredible energy. You can really feel that this is a local favorite, full of genuine charm.

Drove past as the terrace was full but called back later when there was a free table - so glad we did! Been to Tarajalejo many times and wanted to try this on recommendation. Whilst we simply had a sandwich each plus fries, they were the best fries and my chicken empanada especial bocadillo was fabulous and filling. There were many locals inside giving the place a nice buzz. I always worry about going somewhere new as a tourist, but the service was great. Big smiles and a warm welcome. Wir sind wirklich im positiven überrascht, im positiven Sinne natürlich. Wollten mal außerhalb unseres Hotels frühstücken und haben dieses kleine Süße Café entdeckt. Das frühstück war wirklich reichlich(mussten uns sogar noch was einpacken lassen) und die Preise sind wirklich günstig und die Bedienung sehr nett. Auch wenn man nicht gut oder gar nicht Spanisch spricht wird man zuvorkommend bedient. Zu empfehlen ist das Toast mit Serrano Schinken mit Tomatencreme😊 Der frischgepresste Orangensaft ist einfach ein Gedicht, dazu wird Zucker gereicht, den wir aber nicht verwendet haben da er Süß genug war. Wir werden auch nochmal zum Abendessen herkommen und nochmal zum Frühstück.
