BOCADELLA TAPAS — Restaurant in Valencia

The reviews we read and the website drew us to this place but I'm afraid it is greatly over rated. The menu is basic and uninspiring. It is however very cheap. We had a traditional nicoise salad (nice but nothing special and not pleasing to look at as no real care taken over presentation), a fish and potato cream with crispy flatbread (tasty and best part of our meal), beef from the oven with parmesan (turned out to be cold beef slices with rocket and flakes of parmesan so very misleading, it was also dry and bland), baked plantain/Aubergine (looked good but tasted weird like some sort of cleaning fluid, it also arrived late.) Not many customers and we were sat outside in a grim unpleasant area, so no ambience really. Inside looked better but was empty when we arrived. Staff were lovely, super friendly and helpful.

This is by far the best restaurant experience in Valencia! I don't know with what to start. The owner, Mario and his family makes you feel like home and are very friendly and professional! The guy from the kitchen running Nike dunk dragon ball Z snickers is the best chef in Valencia and also the other 2 girls that served us at the tables are amazingly at what they do. The food is absolutely delicious, drinks are very good, desert is amazing! Value for money is also worth it, we received a better table when asked, and everything we needed. These people deserve 10⭐ for what they do in this place! Thank you very much for giving us the best experience in Valencia! For sure we will meet again! 🙏🏼
