Incredibly good tasting Lebanese/Syrian food in humble apartment block neighborhood. Right across from another Lebanese restaurant (with cedars flag on the front no less). Not easy to find; in fact, difficult to find (thanks google).
The falafel is very well done, not dry, not damp, not too moist, not squishy. IME, falafel is very difficult to do well, like most deep-fried foods. This place does it well. The kebab is similarly awesome, very well spiced (not too much, not too bland) and cooked just right. Many places do kebab; most do it badly. Not here. Sides of rice and salad are also well done although lettuce was a bit stale, could use a bit more care. Baba ghanoush was same level of quality. Nothing is badly prepared here. The bouza (ice cream) w/pistaschio was excellent. Texture, sweetness, garnish, all done very well done. Kudos to the folks making these foods. Wish them well in the future.
Price is consistent (15E pp) with quality in this town. Seating is comfortable, tables outside and inside. Reservations taken, and likely needed for busy nights. The place is small, not many tables, and likely fills fast. WC upstairs. Service fast...
Read moreOur visit to this restaurant was an absolutely fantastic experience! Our two families, totaling nine people, enjoyed a flawless meal. The culinary creations were nothing short of perfection, and it's undeniable that the owner ranks among the finest restaurateurs not only in Valencia but across European cities. Even while single-handedly managing the restaurant, the owner ensured lightning-fast service without compromising on quality. Every dish presented was not only delectable but also beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's impeccable attention to detail and hygiene. Without a doubt, this restaurant comes highly recommended – a true gem that should...
Read moreI cannot enthuse about this place enough. It's always a good sign when you turn up and the place is fully booked, although off the beaten track. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating; I could have a table outside, which is better for me anyway because I can smoke between courses. I went for the various kebabs: chicken, lamb and beef with rice. Every mouthful was absolutely delicious. Perfect and contrasting flavours; I even ate the garnish as it was soaked in the kebab juices. A fantastic find and it's going on my regular...
