Botanista Bar — Restaurant in Valencia

recently stumbled upon this bar while exploring Valencia, and I am so glad I did. I tried the Bloody Maria, which was well done and had just the right amount of spice. However, it was the rosebud spritz that truly stole my heart. The rosebud spritz was a delightful and refreshing cocktail. The combination of flavors was perfectly balanced It was evident that the bartender took great care in crafting these drinks. The menu was really easy to read and explained perfectly. The staff members were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful suggestions and answering any questions I had. They took the time to engage in conversation, making me feel welcome and valued as a customer. Not only were the staff friendly, but they also went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great time. They were quick to refill my drink, check if I needed anything else, and even offered recommendations for other places to visit in the area.The positive and welcoming attitude of the staff truly enhanced my overall experience at this bar. Valencia finally has an entrant on the cocktail map!

This lovely bar opened a year ago, in December 2022, and after a year of fast-paced innovation, courtesy of owner Gabriel Capo, Botanista established itself as craft cocktail bar which I found on the very first night in Valencia.

The creative duo behind the bar is Gabriel and Giuseppe, who bring together a variety of influence, mostly from (no surprise) the exciting world of botanicals. The menu is very balanced, focusing on unusual flavors presented in approachable formulas.

The hospitality is on point. A very tiny bar that feels full with 10 patrons (there are a couple of outside tables as well tho) and is always cozy.

Favourite drinks were the Emerald Chai and Botanista, and trying out some of the sotol, mezcal and tequila the bar stocks was a great treat.

Five star experience all over. A must visit when in Valencia. Can't wait to...

Atmosphere: 9.5/10 Located in Valencia’s Ciutat Vella, Botanista is a small, cozy cocktail bar with just 6 seats at the counter. Owner Gabriel, a chef with restaurant experience in the US, brings that precision to his drinks here and across his other Valencia venues. The setting is intimate and warm, with a thoughtful design and just the right music level.

Drinks: 9/10 Recommendation: Cocogroni Menu has a strong botanical theme with a wide selection. Drinks are well executed, flavors clean and balanced. Presentation is consistent: good coasters, fitting garnish, average glassware, straightforward ice and pour style. Focus is on quality rather than theatrics.

Service: 8/10 No water on arrival, no snacks or towels. Team is friendly, professional, and attentive. Reservations not required. Prices are average...
