Not welcome if you don't speak Spanish. When I arrived I politely asked (in Spanish) the lady behind the counter if she spoke English to which she said a little. Turned out she spoke English very well and she answered any direct questions but was a bit hostile and didn't offer any help in translating the menu when I was clearly struggling. It was so uncomfortable I ended up just ordering the only thing I recognised, the kebab, when I would rather have tried an Afghan dish I was less familiar with.
After I paid she then told me I needed to learn Spanish. I explained that I was only in Spain for a few days, but she just repeated it. I was so taken aback I forgot to ask for a receipt so won't be able expense this now and on top of an uncomfortable experience I am also out of pocket. The food that she dumped in front of me without a word was quite good, but its hard to enjoy something when the person serving you is so hostile.

I would rather she had just told me from the outset I wasn't welcome and I would have just left, rather than waiting until I had ordered and paid. Fortunately, this was not the norm during my trip and the vast majority of serving staff here have been very helpful when my very limited...
Read moreAs soon as you walk in, you are greeted with the sweet smell of spices. Their menu is small, which is always a good sign. We tried everything on the menu, actually, and I am so glad we did. We booked for 20 people and they coped with us and a full restaurant very easily and efficiently - and there were only three staff members. I can highly recommend this place for the terrific food, the convivial décor, the lively atmosphere, and the friendly welcome. I enjoyed everything, but I can say with a degree of confidence that their potato chips are some of the best I have eaten outside the UK or...
Read moreGreat food, and a great alternative with very reasonable and affordable prices. They have interesting stuff but a very small menu (this is good, IMO). I miss them being more clear on what they think I should have to get an experience instead of "there's the menu just order!" With names that I clearly have no clue what they are about. Nonetheless,...
