Our experience at this restaurant was not good. We had a reservation for dinner and when we got to the place, the first thing they said to us was: "you have until 22:30 to be out". Ok, thanks, now I have to stress about my nice dinner. The service was slow, it took them about 40 minutes to get the first appetizer out (so now we only have 1 and 20 minutes). Then 10 more minutes for the second appetizer and 10 more for the third (time counting, now only 1 hour until the deadline). For the main courses it took them some more time and they were served not all at once but with a lot of time between them, so by when one was finished with his dish, the other got his. We were done with our dinner at 22:25 and they rushed us out. This si not a fault of the service but of a badly optimized service. The food should be served all at once and not with so much time in-between. Furthermore, the quality and quantity is bad for the price. You get a nearly empty sandwich and some fries for 12€. And well, lets say it is a bit overstretched to call it pastrami. The ambient is good, a bit to noisy, but good. I think is the only...

LOOKS GREAT IN PICS… VERY POOR CONCEPT, FOOD & SERVICE Coming to this restaurant is only worth it if you want to take fake cool photos. Impossible to understand the concept behind the restaurant: rices, hamburguers, salads, tapas… a crazy “whatever” mix with total non sense… I was just missing pizza and sushi and we had it all covered 🤦‍♀️ the place is Ridiculously small… you expect an amazing restaurant which turns to be un spacious and way poorer than what you see in photos Winelist: super short. And again prices and products are non sense. Mauro VS which is an amazing red wine for 68€ while they charge you 100€!!!! For a plain Möet!!! HILARIIUS! I was told already about the extremly UN professional service but it was really terrible. Students with no clue whatsoever of pouring wine, which didn’t know about the wines…or the minimal profesional manners

This place is just for youngsters who want to take selfies and eat whatever pretending they are the coolest.

Definetly...

My recent experience with Living Bakali in Valencia was very disappointing due to communication and very poor service. I proactively informed the restaurant of our delayed arrival by an hour through multiple channels (3 (!) calls, 1x email, and 1x WhatsApp), we received no response. Upon arrival, we were informed that our table was no longer available, which was surprising as we had attempted to communicate our delay so many times. The person at the door even told us "we do not have email", well you do.

To compound the situation, when I got back home, I was notified via email about a €40 no-show charge, contrary to our efforts to keep the restaurant informed. I had to make again a phone call and somebody told me that I will be refunded. Although I had been looking forward to dining at Living Bakali, this experience has regrettably deterred me from...

Maybe our expectations were too high? We were really looking forward to this meal and wanted to have a fantastic experience. The atmosphere and decor was fantastic, cool and relaxed. The service was fantastic until we were told that we had 10 mins left on the table (even though we arrived 30 mins early) . The food was decidedly average. Flamed salad was a bit soggy - the texture of the aubergine was watery. The fried chicken bao was more of a fried chicken bread roll instead of bao. The pork main was flavourless and the entrecote was just OK and really needed a sauce or jus. The cheesecake was white chocolate on the menu but we were surprised when it was actually pistachio. Bill came to over 150 eur for two with drinks and dessert. Better options in that price point exist.

I would visit Valencia just for their pistachio cheesecake. I've seen things in life. But this cheesecake was something to die for. I genuinely hope that in our turbulent world, chef of Bakkali retains this recipe to the letter so that the next time I visit this place I can enjoy it once again. Seriously. Anyone reading my review. Cheesecake. Must have. Period. Don't get this review wrong though. Every other dish we have ordered was amazing. But the cheesecake - something out of this world. I can't believe that I live on the same planet with this gastronomical marvel. Bloody hell, if I were the aliens, I would conquer Earth just to eat it all by myself.
