Marisquería-Bar BOLOS. — Restaurant in Valencia

This was my first place to visit for proper food in Valencia, so it was an important visit. I chosed this bar just because it looked super traditional. Established in 70s, and with bar for eating - it was indeed such. On Saturday eve me and another couple were the only one at bar and in whole restaurant . But the waiter who served me didn't rush to share my excitement about first valencianian food. He was short, strict, not super talkative. I felt like I came just before they expect 100 people for an a wedding party or something (not in right moment). I ate half portion of fried calamaris (9.00) and vieria with carrots and cheese (11.50). Beer is local and costs 2.25 for a big glass.

I really like and always prioritize traditional old school dineries to modern hipster ones. The vibe of this place wasnt' there. Maybe I have to come one day again to re-test it.

P.S. Come here not alone. Then you have an option to use 50% discount on a huge mariscos mix plates on...

Terrible place to have a gastronomic experience the dishes are not well served for the prices they charge the service is terrible on the part of the waiters who are super rude because they don't speak Spanish and they don't have the slightest patience to explain the menu the worst restaurant I've ever had Once it's an expensive place and bad food and you still get bad service. Cigalas we was served had no more than 10 grams of meat and was charged 16.50euros. Really over priced seafood . Tue speciality we was served had cuts of fish inside that looked like it was stains from frozen packages. Bad quality and cheap feeling . Very very disappointed . This would of been somewhat tolerable if the waiters had any ounce of hospitable characters towards non locals . Overall, over priced poor sea food and very poor service . Highly recommend a kebab over this any day,...

Buenos días! Quiero compartir mi preocupación por el servicio de la Institución Bar Bolos. Una marisquería con tantos años de vida y reputación no puede colapsarse en los almuerzos xq haya carrera en Valencia. Para que tanto camarero si no son capaces de llevar de forma ordenada 5 mesas x trabajador. Este local se ha caracterizado x un servicio ágil y resolutivo. Entendemos q la avalancha de gente les pueda sorprender xo si avisamos a un camarero xa notificar un problema, la respuesta no puede ser dígaselo a su camareo cuando me han servido tres diferentes: primero me ha sentado uno después de 15 minutos de pie, después otro ha puesto el mantel y las aceitunos, otro me ha traído las bebidas y a los 20 minutos como nadie me había preguntado x los bocadillos, me he levantado xa preguntar a quien me tenía q dirigir, y la respuesta ha sido q “no veis como estamos”. Esta respuesta es inaceptable. Trabajo en un servicio de urgencias con mucha más presión q vosotros y los malos días se saca con una actitud positiva y trabajo. Esta reseña pretende ser un toque de atención para q el Bar Bolos, no se relaje y siga siendo la gran institución q ha sido desde hace años y un lugar de disfrute familiar xa Lis vecinos del barrio. Los camareros tras todo esto han conseguido servir la mesa con una posterior disculpa, q agradezco xo sigo pensando q la solución no es discutir entre los camareros y los clientes, sino cambiar de actitud esos días malos xa seguir dando el mismo servicio q a lo largo de la semana.
