Chiringuito Playa Turquesa — Restaurant in Vera

We were on the beach near this bar and nipped in for a quick bite. The service was ok and the food was average but, we did decide to go back for a meal, later in the day. We went back and were told that they didn't open for food till 8pm, it was only 6pm but we decided to wait and have a drink. The barman who served us was very stand offish and rude, no smile no politeness. We waited there till 8 only to be told they weren't serving food till 9pm. No apology, no acknowledgement of our disappointment. The whole experience left us feeling we were not welcome. These people need to learn from the other places around them or get other jobs which...

No me gusta poner críticas negativas porque en algunos casos puede que el restaurante no haya tenido su mejor día, pero en el caso de Chiringuito Playa Turquesa creo que debo hacerlo. Finales de agosto sin mucha gente en el chiringuito, sitio agradable en la playa y preparados para tomarnos el arroz que habíamos encargados. Empezamos con las bebidas y un servicio un poco desatendido en el sentido que te las dejaban en cualquier parte de la mesa, casi "tirándolas", con actitud regulera. Como muchos chiringos tenían música puesta, pero en esta ocasión tan elevada de volumen que en una mesa de 4 personas con el local al 20% de ocupación, teníamos que gritar para entendernos. Muy amablemente le pido al dueño que "entendiendo que es su negocio que si puede bajar un punto el volumen", resultado: lo sube!! La música no esta puesta para agradar a la clientela, sino para que el servicio se lo pase bien, no importa el cliente lo que importa es que ellos estén disfrutando mientas trabajan. Lo siento pero no entiendo este tipo de acciones, creo sinceramente que no están preparados para ser dueños de servicios de restauración. Como siempre, se aprovechan del verano, de la saturación y de que somos clientes de 1 sola vez. En este caso se equivocan porque llevo 25 años veraneando allí y por supuesto nunca volveré ni recomendare, más bien al contrario, este lugar. De la comida, no hablo demasiado, esta en el límite, ni buena ni mala, pasable, pero no busco los sitios solo por la comida, sino por encontrarme a gusto con las personas que comparto ese tiempo intentando tener un momento agradable. We went for lunch and the guy that served us was rude and arrogant. We asked for 3 dishes off the menu and he told us he didn’t have any of them. We then ordered the Tiger Prawns and what came was not what we ordered and was warm on the outside and ice cold in the middle.

We then were told that Tiger prawns were Mussel shells with potato on which they are definitely not. The guy then got even ruder and we had to leave. Very disappointed and will not be going back, avoid if you want a nice eating...
