La Cultural Brunch Vigo — Restaurant in Vigo

I have visited La Cultural yesterday and been working with top dining places in London, so I know exactly what to expect and on how to expect it. The food is good and the waiters adorable and understanding. The problem is the person running the place. I ordered a simple cappuccino and it came with what was supposed to be a waffle roll chocolate biscuit on the side like most of the good places do, but it turned out that when I started to bite it I realised it was not a biscuit but a real cinnamon stick that it looked exactly like one of this biscuit to dip in on your usual cappuccino. I’ve almost chocked on it, it cause me some kind of spicy feeling on my tongue and couldn’t actually feel my tongue at all for a couple of minutes. The person running the place was informed and instead of apologising said that he will keep doing the same as things have been done like this for a year and half, so you can already understand the ignorance and perseverance of this person when challenged with this situation, he felt offended and make it look like it was actually our fault for not realising it was not a biscuit. He did not accept the mistake and kept being negative with us during the whole conversation . He also mentioned that he was not going to make another one, which we did not even asked for it and THANK GOD, also not to mention it wouldn’t have made any sense. I believe he tried to be alternative and modern in his concept of dining but got it completely wrong. A quick suggestion , because I don’t want this to happen to anyone else really..train your waiters better and let them specify when serving dishes to mentioned things like this. This could have happened to anyone. People like this shouldn’t run a restaurant, even the waiter serving us apologised to us in private in a better way than this “manager/owner”. Al escuchar por primera vez sobre "La Cultural Brunch Vigo", uno podría imaginar un lugar que compensa con su fachada lo que carece en sustancia, un local que, aunque pulido y bien decorado, no es más que una casa en ruinas bajo una capa de pintura fresca. Con estas historias en mente, decidí visitar el restaurante para juzgarlo por mí mismo. Al llegar, me sorprendió gratamente el ambiente acogedor del local. La Cultural es un espacio lleno de color y vida, con una decoración vibrante que habla de alegría y dinamismo. Aunque el exterior y el interior proyectaban una imagen animada y bien cuidada, decidí sentarme en la terraza. A pesar de que el interior estaba ligeramente más concurrido, la terraza ofrecía un respiro con solo un par de personas ocupando las mesas. Este detalle, sin embargo, no justificó la tardanza en el servicio, una demora que comenzó a probar mi paciencia. Sin embargo, el personal, con su amabilidad, logró mitigar mi irritación inicial.

El menú de "La Cultural" es una celebración de la variedad: tostas, batidos, y zumos, todos decorados con una atención al detalle que le da al plato una vibrante vida propia. Nada en la carta parecía fuera de lugar; de hecho, el menú prometía una experiencia colorida y apetecible.

Opté por probar un par de zumos, una tosta de aguacate y unas patatas. La presentación de los platos fue impecable, con un gusto por la estética que es tan esencial en la experiencia de brunch. Cada plato parecía un cuadro bien ejecutado: las patatas, doradas y crujientes, hablaban de una fritura perfecta; el aguacate en la tosta, servido en su punto justo de madurez, y el zumo natural, fresco, aunque no extraordinario, cumplió su cometido.

La atmósfera durante la comida era relajada y tranquila, acompañada por una música suave que complementaba el entorno sin ser invasiva. Es un lugar que invita a relajarse y disfrutar del momento, ideal para un desayuno tardío o una comida ligera en un entorno sereno.

El conjunto de estos elementos crea una experiencia que, si bien no alcanza las alturas de lo sublime, es ciertamente agradable. "La Cultural" es más que su reputación inicial; es un lugar donde se cuida cada detalle para ofrecer una experiencia completa, desde la presentación de los platos hasta la atmósfera creada para sus comensales. La demora en el servicio es un área que podría mejorarse, pero la amabilidad del personal compensa en gran medida este defecto menor.

Al final de mi visita, me quedé con la sensación de haber encontrado un rincón acogedor que, aunque no ofrece sorpresas culinarias, sí garantiza una experiencia agradable y bien cuidada. "La Cultural Brunch Vigo" es ideal para aquellos que buscan un brunch con un toque de frescura y color, en un ambiente donde cada detalle ha sido pensado para complacer al comensal.

Recomiendo este lugar a quienes buscan una opción distinta para desayunar o almorzar.No esperes descubrir algo revolucionario, pero sí disfrutar de una experiencia bien ejecutada que satisface sin...

Stumbled across this place as we were walking along the port, what a gem of a find, I think it’s my absolute favourite place for brunch in Vigo!

The location: central, near the port. The outdoor furniture was very cute which attracted us to it. Although it is next to a road, it has a nice breeze from the ocean, so it feels very open and airy.

The service: absolutely perfect, and so hospitable. We had two dogs with us, our waitress brought them water immediately and some cute dog snacks on a platter ❤️ how kind!

The food: I had the pistachio French toast - this is the best French toast I’ve ever had the Creme is AMAZING, not too sweet, just a hint of pistachio flavour. Delicious! My boyfriend has the jamon toast, he said it’s the best jamon he’s eaten, the bread is also high quality, crispy and fluffy.

Price: for the quality of food, the price is absolutely worth it. Good price performance ratio.
