We started our summer holiday in Vigo and had 4 nights in Maroa hotel. We booked a room with balcony, even though we could see it was a quite small one.||Check in was smooth and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed help to find a place to buy water for my contact lenses, and they showed me a few places where I might be able to find it, and they were right.||The room itself was huge and so was the bathroom. The tv was a bit old and small, and the amount of programmes was very limited, so don't expect to spend time watching TV at night.||The balcony was rather small as expected, but could fit a chair out there, where I could sit and read a book. Could have used another chair and maybe a little table, so both of us could have sat outside.||Breakfast was good although not the same variety as in a large hotel. However, we got a brilliant service and eggs the way we wanted them each morning. Also the view from the rooftop is amazing at all hours of the day.||A strange thing that I've never experienced before, was that the cleaning lady didn't take the tip I had laid on the bed. That was just put on my desk when she cleaned the room.||Can recommend this for location, staff, views...
Read moreFirstly the good part : the coffee in the room tastes great and helps to start the day well ! And the lady at the terrace breakfast is the most pleasant person with a wonderful smile and ready to help ! Kudos to her ! She even came down to our room to help with the locker when our stuff got locked in . Multi skilled ! And the location is brilliant , easy walk to all places !||The lady at the front desk and one of the guys are very curt and point blank refuse any requests! They need to learn how to be more hospitable and say no with a smile ! Maybe not many English speaking tourists and so they don’t know how to communicate very well . Housekeeping is a bit lax. The washroom shower gel container was empty which I realised during a bath , and had to request the front desk to later refill it ! Housekeeping also doesn’t refill sugar , while they did refill coffee and water . While sixth floor 602 is large , 601 is very tiny and has no window . Only book a room...
Read moreI recently stayed at Hotel Maroa Vigo and had a fantastic experience. The hotel’s location is ideal, situated between Plaza de Compostela and the ferry terminal for the Cíes Islands, making it convenient for exploring both the city and the beautiful surrounding areas. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, offering all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any queries or recommendations for local attractions and dining. The only minor drawbacks were the absence of hair conditioner and a small kettle in the room to make a cup of tea but for the price of the room I will...
