I have only left two restaurants in my life having ordered a 3 course meal without eating the main course - unfortunately Ànima was the 2nd (the first a Russian restaurant in Saint Petersburg the 90s..). The service was very slow (30min 1st course and 70min 2nd course) but that was not the main issue. The cod I ordered was very raw. I pointed this out to the the (ignorant) waiter who did not apologise or even make eye contact who took the plate back to the kitchen. Annoyed already with the slow service, I was stunned when this most arrogant (and cowardly) waiter returned with the same plate with the fish still raw. Again no apology and when I said I'm leaving he said 'good' (when running back to the kitchen). I have been to the restaurant many times before (not this year though) and was truly shocked at the quality of food (my wife's main course was burnt to a crisp) and service this time. I have spent many months in Catalonia over the past few years (my wife is Catalan) and never experienced this before. I should hope for the restaurant's sake that this guy masquerading as a waiter does not remain long in your restaurant for much longer and that the quality of the food recovers.. The comment below is the most pathetic lie that...
Read moreI had a very pleasant dining experience at Ànima Restaurant. The air conditioning was very cool, making the atmosphere comfortable and relaxing. The service was exceptionally warm and friendly, with attentive and courteous staff.
The food was incredibly delicious with authentic Spanish flavors. I highly recommend their creamy lobster risotto, which features fresh Spanish lobster. The taste was exquisite, and the texture was rich, making it an unforgettable culinary delight. Additionally, they offer a freshly made cheesecake daily, which is also very tasty. It was the perfect way to end the meal.
Overall, I was very satisfied with Ànima Restaurant, from the ambiance to the service and the food. I would recommend it to anyone who loves...
