Bar Idoia — Restaurant in Vitoria-Gasteiz

This was our first visit to Vitoria and Bar Idoia. I am delighted with the atmosphere of the place and the high quality of the food served (including different varieties of croquettes, tapases with piparras langostinos de Ibarra and anchovies, or guacamole with nachos) and the unique drinks. For me, it is the quintessence of Basque Country flavours and, thanks to the owners, Ewa and Aldo, also Polish-Mexican. I very much hope to return to this place and can't wait to do so. Nice bar in a busy street full of "pit stops" for the younger crowd. Boothroyd just woke up and smelled the "coffee". Bought his Mum an Aperol...she has the "munchies" .. nothing to do with the sweet smell of finest"coffee". Great vibe but I think I am heading into old age. Still, you have to visit this street on an evening sundown. Good...

Durante nuestra visita a Vitoria para ver el Mirandés- Leganés, nos acercamos al casco viejo con intención de irnos de pintxos y hacer previa.

Uno de los locales a los que acudimos fue este, y si bien no estuvo mal, solo le pongo tres estrellas por varias razones.

Es cierto que el trato fue correcto, y los precios son similares a los de otros sitios próximos. Pero no me gustó por un lado, que es muy poco espacioso y no tienes mesas interiores para sentarte, te toca estar de pie.

De decoración no es que sea el más llamativo de todos los bares de la calle, y el pintxo que tomé tampoco era nada del otro mundo. Huevo cocido relleno de alioli y gamba, el cual era muy pequeño, y con un alioli demasiado flojo, deberían echar más ajo a la salsa cuando la preparen.

No es mala opción para ir de pintxos, pero otros sitios sinceramente me...
