We live in Javea and hadn’t been to La Quinta for quite a while so we called in last night for a meal.
What a mistake, my wife and I had Paella mixta which was ok although no where near as good as La Cantina’s by the fish market. The real let down however were the pizzas ordered by our son’s which were probably the worst we have seen in a ling while. Whilst the bases were freshly made- fine, no problem with that, the tomato sauce topping was overly sweet/sickly and the pizza’s were covered in far too much cheese and dripping with grease - and I mean dripping!
We also saw the staff smoking whilst in the kitchen which didn’t help fill us with confidence in terms if hygiene.
I know some people might like 1cm deep cheese on their pizza but this was a complete contrast to the many other fantastic places we eat at locally.
Perhaps we were unlucky but we will choose to avoid La Quinta fir the foreseeable future.
If there is a positive, the waiter was very attentive...
Read moreLovely food, fantastic friendly staff, great views.... And the best chips/french fries ever
Been here a few times over the years and visited and ordered a couple of pizzas to share (and some french fries).
Pizzas were fantastic but the chips were the best we've ever eaten.
Staff very friendly and helpful, and the food that good that we returned on our last evening of the weeks trip.
Haven't made it up onto the terrace yet but can only imagine the views are even better.
Again, food was top notch, staff friendly etc ... Son had spaghetti carbonara and he (and we) loved it.
Hard to explain just how friendly the staff are. Passing by a day or so after the first visit, one of the staff recognised us.
On the second visit, child kept coming back for a free sample of pizza, no complaints from the waiter (with a big smile on his face)... 5 mins later he's giving a free ice cream away!
If you like Italian and views over the med, this is highly...
Read moreVery good no-frills restaurant along one of the beaches of Javea. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They cater to your every need with buckets of charm and smiles. They have a choice between 3 "menus del dia" at noon, all of which are well furnished and delicious. Cocktails (Mojito) are the best we've had until now, with a happy hour from 1 to 3 pm. I highly recommend this place instead of one of the posher tourist trap restaurants around it. Authentic Spanish bar-restaurant atmosphere.
Really, come here, you won't be disappointed.
Edit: After having been there a couple of times, I would like to add that their paellas, fresh pasta dishes, steaks and desserts are...
