We have eaten here before and it has always been very good. This evening our experience was shocking. Firstly we were told there was a child’s steak and there wasn’t. The only children’s meal is chicken nuggets. We ordered 3 steaks. 1 literally had blood clots in the centre so the other part was then not eaten as my daughter was put off. Actually made her gag.
We were not asked if everything was ok and at the end we mentioned the steak to the waitresses. They spent a while discussing it and then said we had eaten more than half. This was debatable. We were then told that we should have cut the steak in half first to ensure it was cooked through as requested. We have Eaten steak all around the world. This was a first !!
They refused to amend the bill but instead charged us for items we didn’t have. They then continued to discuss us openly which was embarrassingly uncomfortable and incredibly poor service. We will not return. Despite previous meals being good, this evening was so appalling we would never give them our custom again. €208 and an absolute...
Read moreI recently dined at Terra in Javea with a group of friends and had a mixed experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice, setting a pleasant tone for our lunch. However, our overall experience left a lot to be desired.
One major downside was the slow service. We waited for over 30 minutes just to receive our drinks, which was quite frustrating, especially considering that the prices of the food were on the higher side. We had expected a more attentive and efficient service given the cost.
To make matters worse, we were not offered desserts or coffee after our meal, and when it came time to pay the bill, we had to go all the way to the entrance to get someone's attention. Although the staff did apologise for the inconvenience, it would have been more appropriate to offer a complimentary drink or some form of compensation.
In summary, Terra has a pleasant ambiance, and I might consider returning for drinks. However, I wouldn't rush back to dine there anytime soon due to the slow service and lack of proactive...
Read moreTwo fabulous meals on Thursday and Saturday this week. Absolutely wonderfully presented, delicious food. The Sea bass to share was stunning. The Thai steak salad was out of this world, and the grilled ribeye (on the bone) was as good as it could ever get. The grilled pineapple with coconut ice cream, the chocolate tartlet with almonds, and "the original" tarte tatin were all to die for. The kitchen staff had obviously already worked their wonders, but all the front-of-house staff were just so welcoming and friendly. Carlos (in particular) was attentive, pleasant and helpful and made the whole experience special. He suggested appropriate wines, without letting his finger wander down the menu to big-priced bottles. Sharing a common interest in football and Oasis, he made time to chat, yet wasn't neglecting other tables. All-in-all probably one of the best restaurant experiences ever ... and that's...
