My opinion about Carpe Diem restaurant in Lanzarote is that the food was mediocre and not worth the price. In my opinion, it's not worth getting a half portion i know that everyone wants to try as many different dishes as possible, but I believe that if you're already here, you must have been to a better restaurant before. Unfortunately, real Tapas doesn't exist here, and ok although I was full but the quality was very poor. I paid 88 euros for two adults and three children, and I don't recommend this restaurant simply because the quality is not proportional to the price. Read moreThis restaurant had fresh excellent tasting food at a pretty good price with generous portions. 2 of us having cocktails, splitting: "1/2" sized starter, salad , "full size" main dish and dessert was roughly 50€ total.
The server was very polite and attentive, explaining a number of the dishes to us. I forgot to take pictures of most of the meal because we were hungry lol.
I think our favourite today was the goat cheese salad; Its topped with caramelised onions, and the goat cheese in the center is cooked, soft inside and wonderfully crispy on the edges.

All the food we were served was mediocre and nothing special until our steak arrived. As soon as we ate the steak we could tell it was off/rotten, the smell was also disgusting. We don’t know whether if it was potentially sat out in the heat for too long or if it was genuinely off/expired. We also watched the staff take it back and they inspected it in the kitchen and they also had the same disgusted look when they smelled how rotten the steak was. The staff were really apologetic and did take it off our bill but we actively watched one of the chefs go to the supermarket to buy fresh steaks. Overall very...
