Quesería Bar La Bendita — Restaurant in Zafra

I would have liked to comment on the food, but I couldn’t get service. From the other reviews, it looks like it is good.

I went in to this restaurante the evening of 01 Jan. 2025. I sat across from the bar at a small bar. The waitresses walked past me to go in and out for the patio seating.

None working the inside or outside of restaurante bothered to assist me. I finally stepped to the bar and ordered a drink and asked to see the menu. I was told there was no menu. OK my bad. I corrected myself and asked to see the carte. Sure thing. Here is your drink sans aceitunas that were being served to the other patrons.

No carte. I finally stood back up and approached the bar to ask again to see the carte. The bartender grabbed one for me.

I looked at it and assumed someone would come over and take my order. Assumptions are the mother of all screw ups. No luck.

Took a picture of the menu, oops, carte, so I could dream of what I could have had and to post it hoping that other people might get better service if they like the carte.

My wife’s read on this that they don’t like strangers...

Mala experiencia de principio a fin. Para empezar, la camarera, que ya a medio día cuando estuvimos tomando algo nos dio la impresión de ser poco profesional y tomarse poco enserio su trabajo, nos demostró que lo era, trajo las bebidas, las soltó en una esquina de la mesa de 8 comensales y nos dijo “iros pasándolas”. Pasamos a la comida, ensaladilla de marisco (surimi por doquier), paté de cochinillo asado (paté, el sabor a cochinillo asado no lo vi por ningún lado, y los panecillos para acompañar duros como para dejarte los dientes). De principales pedimos tiras de pollo, carrilleras al vino y solomillo de ternera, y esto fue lo que más me molestó, he comido solomillo de ternera muuuuuchas veces y nunca me habían traído un filete, plano, y sin forma de medallón, ni cuadrada (por si hubieran abierto en filete el medallón) lo pregunto a la camarera y, como cabía esperar, no me supo dar una explicación más haya de que ese era el solomillo, que no había otro y que no había podido haber habido equivocación, una vez lo cortó y lo pruebo, está bastante más duro y correoso que el solomillo, de lo que deduzco que puede ser punta de solomillo (mucho más económica que la parte central). De las carrilleras, quienes las comieron me dicen lo mismo, no era textura de carrillera. En fin, que nos dieron gato por liebre, y a nadie le gusta que lo engañen, pon punta de solomillo y no pongas solomillo si no lo es, porque quien lo pide quiere comer un medallón tierno de ternera, no eso, y si no te salen los números pues sube el precio...

Love this place, and the jamon bellota and the tuna tartar is a hammer! Personal is also very nice and plaisant.

I come often for dinner here and I'm never disappointed. If course depending your taste some dishes are better, some probably not your taste, so yes I also experienced a plate or 2 I didn't like much, but overall it's very good here, and the risotto are great, the fish, and meat too, the tapas like the jamon and tuna tartar are just amazingly delicious.
