Salegi Taberna — Restaurant in Zarautz

Came here to Zarautz for some good Tapas and a walk along the Boardwalk. It was around 1.30pm and the place still busy, but there were some empty tables outside. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. This Tapas Bar is located on a busy and lively plaza. Great atmosphere, lots of local customers.

The restaurant mostly has raciones and Tapas. Exactly what we came for. Go grab some Tapas at the bar. Some you have to order and wait for them to be ready. For this you'll get a buzzer.

Wine by the glass is tasty and well-priced. We ordered Foie Gras with egg and goat cheese (crazy, but good combo), goat cheese/pepper, croqueta/pepper and a veggie/goat cheese tapa. Also a small Jamon sandwich and following small plates (raciones): grilled shrimp, scallops and a tasty small piece of suckling pig.

All the Tapas were really tasty, hot and freshly made at this time of the day. Prices are on the lower end. We had three glasses of wine each and all the Tapas and raciones. Came in under 50 Euros for everything.

A really fun and also very good Tapas Bar. Surely a place to come...

Extremely busy and difficult to get served but maybe because I'm small and looked unsure. Food came intermittently but that was possibly fortunate because the portions were much more generous than what we expected or have seen elsewhere., so the break between dishes helped. The only reason I've marked the atmosphere as average is because it was so busy it was a bit chaotic at the bar and some staff looked stressed. There was plenty of atmosphere though and customers were happy. Most importantly the food was really impressive. Hot, fresh, generous, crisp, perfectly cooked, would recommend hamburguese, croquetas, calamares, and pinchos all looked interesting, varied, and generous. Thanks to the staff you all worked very hard. The meal costore than our average spend because we ordered too much, and didn't notice the price...

VASOS DE PLÁSTICO PARA CENAR??? NI QUE FUERA FIESTA VASCA. Hace un tiempo era muy fan de este restaurante, me daba igual pagar porque la atención, comida, servicio de cubertería y vasos era excelente pero creo que debería de bajar los precios o bien cambiar el personal, ya que el trato a sido DE VERGÜENZA. Hemos ido tras mucho tiempo y me voy muy DECEPCIONADA. Tras pedir un vino y un zurito para hacer tiempo mientras llegaban el resto de comensales, he decidido devolver el vino por que no era de mi gusto y NO PASA NADA POR ELLO POR QUE ES CUESTIÓN DE GUSTOS Y LO HE PAGADO ANTES DE SENTARNOS. El problema fue cuando estábamos todos en la mesa y nos han traído copas con el fondo rojizo, llenas de cal y con pegotes. Hemos pedido que nos cambien las copas por favor y es de chiste, porque nos han vuelto a traer MÁS DE LO MISMO. TRAS VOLVER A EXIGIR QUE NOS CAMBIEN LAS COPAS, NOS HA VENIDO EL CAMARERO Y EN UN TONO MUY DESAGRADABLE NOS HA DICHO "SI PREFIERES TE TRAIGO VASOS DE PLÁSTICO" QUE SEGURAMENTE ESTARÁN LLENOS DE POLVO. TENGO LA PENA DE NO FOTOGRAFIAR LAS COPAS. PERO OS DEJO LA CUENTA PARA VALORAR EL PAGO (PALO) QUE HEMOS PAGADO TRAS CENAR CON MIRADAS DESPECTIVAS DESDE LA COCINA Y COMENTARIOS DESDE LA BARRA, QUE NOS HAN QUITADO EL HAMBRE. LA PRÓXIMA VEZ NI VAMOS. TENIAMOS QUE HABERNOS LEVANTADO DE LA MESA Y MARCHARNOS.

MENOS MAL QUE LA COMIDA ESTABA BUENA, ESPERO MAÑANA NO SUFRIR DE DIARREA PORQUE CON ESE TRATO IGUAL NOS HAN ESCUPIDO EN LA COMIDA.
