So there are a lot to tell here. First of all, before we ordered we asked the waitress what they do best. Her answer was "everything is good, but the filet mignon is what we do best."

I Had Toast Skagen for starters - 4/10 Lacked taste, lacked salt, lacked prawns, poor frying surface on the bread which made the bread soggy from the prawn mixture. In general very bland. My brother had the bruschetta And his partner had the garlic bread. Both of them tasted like half pre produced and was dry.

I Had the Sausage pizza for mains and my brothers partner the chicken pizza - 7/10. Very nice pizza. Though the menu said that it was topped with parmesan cheese, but there was almost nothing of it. The chicken on the other pizza was dry. My brother took the mixed plate with meats. This was really bad. All meats was way overdone, so much that they were more alike a hockey puck because they bounced that much due to the dryness and over doneness. The meat consisted of chicken, pork and filet mignon. And remember that they said they do the filet mignon best, and they couldn't do it at all.

Other things of notice: Cutlery, especially knives, needs to be replaced. Unable to cut the food on the porcelain without it squeaking. Heard it all evening from all directions. Not nice to have these noises from dining, and shouldn't need to stress by carefully slicing through the food to avoid the sound.

The biggest problem though was the waiting time: 2/10. Had to wait almost 20 minutes from when we got seated and got the menus until we could order anything at all, another 25 minutes for the starters after ordering, and about 15-20 minutes for the main course.

Service: 6/10. The staff had a good tone and we're nice despite being understaffed. But nothing out of the ordinary at all.

All in all, if they were better staffed, had a shorter menu and not two sides with everything, they would probably have better quality on the food and service that...

On the lookout for dinner while apartment-hunting in Eskilstuna, my wife found this restaurant using Google Maps. When we drove by looking for a parking space, my daughter immediately liked the look of it. Once the car was parked and we arrived, we could see that her first impression was right. The restaurant has a stylish covered outdoor seating area, and the inside follows in the same style. Looking at the menu, they have reasonable prices, and a good choice of dishes. The staff serving us was friendly and helpful, and when the food arrived, the plates were generously filled and it tasted deliciously. Judging by this visit, we'll be back when we visit...

Om du vill prova att resa med en tidsmaskin ca 30 år bakåt i tiden kan du gå till restaurang Akropolis i Eskilstuna. Här har varken menyn eller inredningen ändrats sedan dess. Hur många plastiga kolonner kan man klämma in i en restaurang? Här är det mest fantasirika på menyn en klassisk plankstek. Fantasilöst utan några större chanser till smakupplevelser, är du vegetarian kan du få ett grönsaksspett. Inte ens ett halloumispett trots att restaurangen med namn och inredning antyder en grekisk koppling, inte heller menyn får en att förstå var vi hittar det grekiska? Vi var ett större sällskap som bokat bord och lämnat in beställningen innan vi kom. Trots detta fick vi vänta vääääldigt länge på både förrätter och huvudrätter, de senare ca 1h 20 min. Ingen kom och ursäktade dröjsmålet. Några fick vänta extra länge. Efterätterna dröjde också på sig, dessutom fick inte alla det de FÖRBESTÄLLT för tydligen var ingredienserna slut, så de fick välja andra. En efterrätt glömdes helt bort, när resten av sällskapet ätit upp sina kom serveringspersonalen ut och frågade om de mot all förmodan glömt någon, vilket de hade. Vid det här laget hade allt dröjt så mycket att vi var sista sällskap kvar. Personalen verkade överlag stressad (viket de inte försökte dölja) och osäker och som om de vantrivdes med sitt jobb. Inga leenden (undantaget en) eller artighetsfraser överhuvudtaget. Det hade varit kul om Akropolis verkligen satsade på autentisk GREKISK mat istället, och mer lågmäld inredning typ grekisk taverna, så att en slapp åka till Gbg, Uppsala eller Sthlm för en mysig upplevelse med god mat och bra service. Som flera andra anmäler de recensioner till Google för att försöka höja sitt snitt, en bättre idé vore att ta alla på allvar och försöka höja sin service...
