Doy Doy Backaplan — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I visited a restaurant last week for lunch with my family, which includes two adults and two children aged 3.5 years and 1.5 years. At the time of ordering and payment, the staff did not inform me that there would be an extra charge for the children. When the food was served, they then told me I had to pay extra because we used two plates for the children's meals. Upon finishing our meal, I went to the counter to settle the bill. The cashier charged me 100 SEK for each child. I explained that I have visited many other Arabic, Turkish, and Indian restaurants and have never been charged for using extra plates for children. The staff member responded rudely, suggesting that I should go to those other restaurants if I did not want to pay the extra amount. This was a very disappointing experience, especially considering that I have lived in Sweden for five years and have never encountered such poor customer service. While it might be unintuitive, Doy Doy is surprisingly vegan friendly if you focus on the Meze, Fattoush and grilled vegetables. With prices ranging from 69-149 SEK, it’s also very wallet-friendly on top of that. While the location of Doy Doy is a bit off, the interior makes up for it, as well as the friendly staff. The bread they serve is vegan (unlike other similar places), but the Baba Ganoush has added yoghurt, so be careful here. Also, if you’re sensitive, the smell of meat can throw you off as well, but all things considered, it’s a really nice place for some meze at a high quality...

Ordered food for an event and unfortunately, there was a fire at the restaurant. When I asked the staff about our order, they offered us two options: either a full refund or having another restaurant fulfill our order. We chose the latter, and our food was ready in just 20 minutes. On top of that, they covered the additional cost of the new order.
