Great place to relax. In my experience there's not that much kids (but it varies depending on time of day and weather of course) and most people there seem laid back. The sauna is huge and have a great view over the harbor and the main land. It also has a very special wooden decoration inside. The pool is freshwater and contain algae (the staff say it's like any inland lake) while the tub is salt water. None of them are heated as far as I know. The staff is very friendly and is always helpful with any questions. You are required to wash yourself before entering the pool of course. They have quite nice but small changing rooms with lockers (lock and key are free - although if you have valuables then give them to the staff) with heated showers. There's non-heated showers outside by the pool which should be used when you come from the sauna. During the ongoing pandemic (and possibly otherwise as well) there's a maximum of 50 people in the area. If there's more than that they activate a queue system which allows a maximum 1:15h before you have to leave and let other people in (see their homepage for a schedule). Due to the pandemic they also only allow 15 people at anytime in the sauna. It's up to the visitors to maintain this although the staff sometime come in and check in on you. This place is LGBTQIA+ friendly so you might have to share space with people of opposite sex. There's 2 separate changing rooms however. Most information plaques are in Swedish and English. It's all free and awesome. Please behave your best! Be sure to check-in the bar/restaurant next door which is a work of art. It's currently under the threat of having to close. Please consider giving them a visit and sign...

Read moreDefinitely would recommend this sauna to anyone, whether resident of Gothenburg or tourist. A bit out of the way but worth the trip. Don't be put off by the surrounding area - it wasn't what we expected at first but once you get in to the changing rooms and then head out to the sauna it's a fun and unique experience. Really cool to do in the winter especially when the river was frozen. The big window gave us an amazing view of the sunset over the city - so memorable! Also a nice atmosphere in the sauna with the other guests - everyone was very friendly. Can hardly believe it's free! Just book...
