Krog Axet — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

This has got to be one of the best places I’ve eaten at. I was greeted by both Max and Hedda upon walking into the restaurant, this has been my first time eating out in Sweden and they both served me with the best service I have ever received. Max suggested some amazing drinks which I loved — bonus that he made the best negroni I have ever had! His suggestion to try the Kalventrecote (veal entrecôte) was so welcoming I just had to try it! When I tell you this chef made such a perfect looking meal, I am not kidding! As someone who has experienced extreme fine dining, the chefs here made the food so spectacularly that it outshone anything I’ve ever tried before! Everything was paired amazingly and I have found a love with veal after this meal! Axet is just about as good as it gets. It's accessible, just next to a bus stop without being disturbed by it. Service is great. The Londoneer bartender Liam is top notch - friendly, positive, service minded and a master mind when it comes to both drinks and beer. Other staff is equally service minded and social, stops by to chat if they have time, and will leave you alone if that's your preference. Axet is the perfect place for drinks, and their menu is well worth a try or two. The only thing that may be missing is an outdoor view of the nearby river, but you can stroll by the boardwalk before and/or after your visit to Axet, so it does not matter much. Ooh the service we got last weekend 9/9 was terrible 😢 I was with my 7years daughter and my husband. We got our drinks and ordered the food directly because we were so angrily. Ooooh we waited for the food 1hrs and 30min and the waitress didn’t come back to ask us if we needed more drinks or saying something about the food🥹 I went to her and tell her that we want a takeaway instead because it has been long time. She said sorry blablabla that destroyed our Saturday night. Food was wet so we threw away instead. Maybe because I’m black and I live near by you . I want to support my neighborhood restaurants.
