Henrys Table — Restaurant in Kalmar kommun

This is an Asian restaurant although you can't tell that simply from the menu. The owner was nice, especially since we came in about 40 minutes prior to closing on a Monday night. We had the place to ourselves. I ordered the chicken breast and my sister had the black and white on a sizzling plate (pork chop and steak). She said the beef tasted spoiled, but the pork chop was good. My chicken breast was flavored with five spice powder and was huge, but had a very odd, spongy texture. Either it was marinated in a brine for too long or it was processed chicken. The veggies were plentiful but tough. Our two meals with water and a Coke came to 53 krona. I cannot honestly say we got good value...

Terrible experience.

Do not choose this restaurant unless you are a group of at least 15 people. Below this number, the managers will do everything to make you leave on the pretext that they will not be able to serve you in a reasonable time. And if you insist on asking for service in 1h30 maximum, the managers will tell you that you are less important than a group and will tell you to leave.

I travel a lot around the world and I have never seen such behavior towards customers. And the height of disrespect, you will be forced to pay for your drink if you have already ordered. No gesture of compensation or apology.

We had planned a special dinner night with friends and by chance discovered this restaurant. Though the place did not look posh, it had accomodation for big groups which is exactly what our group needed. The menu has diverse options and the quantity extremely filling. The staff was patient and helpful and helped us by explaining what to expect from our ordered food.
