We visited Fisky Business Dockan in Malmö and were initially impressed by its charming location in the harbor area. The setting is truly lovely, with a stylish and relaxed ambiance that makes you feel welcome right away. The service was absolutely lively, the staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and full of warmth. They truly made an effort to create a positive experience.
Unfortunately, the food told a completely different story.
We ordered the "Party Platter," which was shockingly low-quality. It tasted like something straight out of a can, the kind of processed seafood you’d find in a supermarket for a fraction of the price. At the price point they charge, this felt like an insult more than a meal.
The main dish, "Fish and Chips," was equally disappointing. The batter was thick, bland, and overwhelming, completely smothering the already flavorless fish underneath. It lacked any seasoning, herbs, or character whatsoever. The fish itself was dry and tasteless, barely distinguishable from cardboard. As for the fries, they were soft, overly starchy, and had that mealy texture that makes you wish you hadn’t bothered.
Honestly, if this is representative of Swedish cuisine, I’m left rather confused and disappointed.
In summary: beautiful location, lovely staff, but the food quality was unacceptable. I genuinely wanted to enjoy the experience, and the service team deserves praise, but sadly, great hospitality can't...
Read moreI went for lunch with a group of my mom friends, so we had strollers with us. There is an elevator to go to the different floors. We had lunch on the top floor. There was plenty of space for the strollers. We had the space to ourselves. All the other guests were outside or on the bottom floor. I am only give it 4 stars because the floor where we were at was so warm. We were sweating a bit and the babies were also a bit warm. So it would have been nice to have some AC or for them to offer to turn on the fans. The food was nice. Some had the fish tacos and others the fish and chips. Since we were on the top floor we had to go downstairs to order our food and pay the bill. I’m not sure if that’s the same for the people eating outside or inside on the bottom floor. I think if I come again, next I would...

Stopped by Fisky Business Dockan for lunch and was blown away. I had their huge shrimp sandwich, and let me tell you—it was a mountain of fresh, juicy shrimp piled high on crisp greens, topped with creamy dressing, pickled onions, sliced radish, and a perfect soft-boiled egg on the side. Every bite tasted like summer by the sea.
The harbor view made it even better—sitting dockside with boats gently swaying in the background felt like a little vacation in the middle of Malmö. Service was smooth and friendly, and the presentation of the food was clean, rustic, and full of character.
If you’re in town and love seafood, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to come...
