Such a lovely sushi restaurant! I spontaneously went in after spotting it from outside. Everything was perfect and excellent quality at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the superior sushi platter. I’m not sure if the selection changes frequently, but the salmon belly piece was to die for and melted in my mouth. I also especially loved the touch of lemon zest on the white fish piece. You know a place is special when a regular walks in and gets their usual. She confirmed it’s her favorite sushi spot in town when I asked. Something that is special about this sushi is the authentic fluffy rice, it’s not a compacted firm brick (so drowning it in soy sauce may make it fall apart). The owner/sushi chef is really kind, friendly, and very passionate about sushi. I asked him all the sushi questions I’ve always been too embarrassed to ask (for example: how to dip your sushi into soy sauce. There is no shame though, he said to do whatever you enjoy at the end of the day, but did let me know what is typical in Japanese cuisine and even showed me). So feel free to ask him all your burning questions and enjoy!

This is a real 'sushi-ya' for those who appreciate authenticity; a rare culinary ticket to Japan in Malmö. The owner's endeavour to deliver an authentic experience is noticed through both the service level and the taste of the food. To anyone who's been to a sushi-ya in Japan, you'll immediately recognise the smell of torched seafood as you enter this establishment. After the owner's explanation that the restaurant aims to enhance the natural taste of the ingredients instead of hiding it under sauce drenched toppings, he asked us for our likes and dislikes. He then proceeded to recommend a set menu for us each. It was such a wonderful experience. We finished it all and although already full, we had to order an additional portion of our newfound favourites. The perfectly balanced rice was fluffy and you could taste each individual grain of rice. You will definitely not find the dense "snowball" squished rice here. Just close your eyes and enjoy the experience. I can't recommend this place enough.

Holy moly. I wish I could give a 0. This place came highly recommended to me. But this was the worst sushi experience I've had in over 3 years. I came in, staff didn't greet me. She just stared at me. I said I'd like to order. She didn't offer any meny, she said nothing. I had checked the menu beforehand so then I ordered 11 pieces. There wasn't many people but the food took about 30 min to arrive. I lift the first piece, it falls apart. I lift the next piece, it falls apart. I give up and move over to the maki rolls. They are really, really, really dry. The avocado wasn't fresh and they also contains a pickled thing ( which I do NOT appreciate in sushi, only in Kimbap), they also contain way too much rice compared to the filling. There was nothing special about the fish. It wasn't exceptional as the website wants you to think. I do NOT recommend this place and I will never step foot in there again.
