We spent 4 days in the Hotel with my wife. To better comprehend the problem, keep in mind it was in July, in the middle of a heat wave.
In the tiny bathroom they have what are supposed to be towel dryers, which in essence is pretty much a radiator. It was extremely hot to the touch and warmed up the entire bathroom to unbearable temperatures (you'd be sweating as if you were in a sauna after a minute in there). There was no way to switch it off, so we asked the front desk to see what could be done.
We were told a technician would take a look during the day. We came back late afternoon and the bathroom was still as hot as the sun. We asked the front desk again about it, and the new person there told us the technician had left for the day, and no one told her anything, nor could she read anything about the problem. She'd see what she could do and make sure the technician saw it the following day.
Entire day passed again, no solution, we went downstairs to a new person who also had no idea what was going on and she told us she'd change our room. She came with me to check only to realize the same problem was in every room, so we stayed where we were. She was going to check with the technician tomorrow... at this point you can imagine I thought either the technician didn't exist, or they were just messing with me, so I told her what had happened the previous days and she said she'd get the manager to see if they could solve the issue.
We had been very patient, but several hours after that I called the front desk to see if they had an update, since it had been so long since our conversation and nobody called us. Their response was "The manager told me we can't turn it off, so there's nothing we can do about it" and promptly hang up the phone.
Not only did plenty of people have the problem (we encountered a few on our elevator rides and the lobby talking about it), but nobody from the hotel did anything. The worst part was that I had to chase them for an answer, since they never got back to me even after entire days of waiting.
So Miräy (from the reply below), while I appreciate the fact that you want to welcome me back, which is basically the same reply you wrote to everyone who left bad reviews, please know that during checkout we weren't even...
Read moreWe made the reservation through Revolut. The only thing that mattered to us was the proximity to the center, so we had no expectations about the hotel.
However, as soon as we arrived, we were very surprised by the hotel itself and especially by the friendliness of the staff.
In the lobby of the hotel, near the reception, there is a corner for coffee and relaxation. Of course, coffee and biscuits are free for hotel guests.
There is a very nice little garden at the top of the building (sixth floor) that guests can use.
The rooms are slightly less spacious, but contain everything you need. I was particularly impressed by the cosmetics in the bathroom. The rooms are already a little worn, they could use a little renovation. But it didn't bother us because we spent most of our time in the city anyway.
The hotel also has a sauna, but we did not use it.
What certainly delighted us was the breakfast. In such a small space, so much variety of food. The pleasant ambience makes it easy to enjoy breakfast in the morning.
The overall impression is excellent, and with the excellent location and friendly staff, I recommend this hotel...
Read moreThe outside of the hotel is extremely bland and uninspiring. We had a suite - 143. As other reviewers have stated, the whole place needs a really good renovation. Our room had numerous marks and dents on walls and floors and the dining table had marks all over it. Flooring wasn't laid right to the edge of walls - the hall floor, where it joined (or was supposed to join) the bathroom flooring had an inch gap between the two! There was no mini bar & no safe, no telephone through to reception. But then on the flip side, there were slippers and robes and dumbells! Our room was exceedingly hot, even when leaving the window open all night. Several power points only worked if you turned the lights on in the relevant room! We had to move the kettle into the hall part of room as the cable wasn't long enough to fit anywhere else! Breakfast was nice, not the best we've ever had but by no means the worst. Hotel is in a really good central spot but we wouldn't return as it just wasn't up to our...
