We ate samosa for a starter the sauce was okay but the samosa was was made with very thick dough with a fairly bland filling nothing that made you jump from joy. I say that hunger the very best spice in the world 🫣. We came to Mister Singh starved and crazy hungry. I wonder if they have sold the place and their is a new owner 🤦🏽♂️… what happened next is nothing short of an insult towards the Indian cuisine and their culture of flavor and spices that holds no boundaries… lots of dishes we settle for chicken kadai after recommendation from the chef himself I asked for a dish similar to chicken korai chicken karahi. He said have a kadai and you won’t be disappointed but good folks were we disappointed bordering severe chock when the food arrived. 1 there was 3.5 Small bits of chicken good for 5 bite size mouthfuls with an amount of sauce to accompany those 5 mouthfuls no salt at all in either one of our two portions I. Had ordered my portion extra spicy 🌶️ on top of it. It was absolutely horrendously flavorless and not even bland the chicken kadais had zero resemblance whatsoever of an Indian dish. My friend couldn’t even finish his very very small meal even our garlic nans had no garlic flavor.. but it looked delicious. The waiter was very nice but also very sad and embarrassed when seeing and hearing what we answered his question about how the food tasted 🫣. None of us will ever never go back not even if someone else pay for our food Swedish meatballs with brown sauce and mashed potatoes is a flavor bomb explosion compared to our food. I have eaten 3-400 plus Indian restaurants over the past 35 years and this was by far the absolute worst experience of them all… food doesn’t even...
Read moreGot to know about this gem of a place from a childhood friend and decided to stop over on the way to our short hotel stay in Stockholm Food: we tried panipuri first and it was out of the world. I got hungry after panipuri. Butter chicken: it was nostalgic and brought back my memories from Delhi. Methi chicken: I was craving for this dish for few years and was served awesome one in 10 mins. Wife was super happy to be able to eat soya chap after so many years. Naan: not sure why but i ate one extra even after i said I am full Chef: apart for doing a great cooking, great to talk. He likes to talk to who he is serving and based on what i can feel he takes orders based on what you want to try… even if the menu is missing something ..
Portion: it’s one dish for one person kind of place.. unlike what we usually have in Gothenburg where you have a dish you can share. But staff helped us so we can share diff dishes together. Ambience: quit cozy but small place.. I guess we were lucky that it was Tuesday evening so less crowded. If it’s crowded it could be a bit tight and guess more time to wait for your food. Will I go back again: yes I will .. in-fact I regret I did not order a takeaway for next day :(. Suggestions: do a booking in advance if you are planning to go on weekend and have loads of patience for the food, it will be worth the time spent. Suggestions for chef: your Naan’s are great may be you need a bigger oven to get more than one at a time.
Chef asked us if we can support him with a review since they are trying to have a very organic growth.. I would written this review anyways and I hope to visit this place again soon. Vey good luck to the...
Read moreDiscovering Mister Singh was like finding a hidden treasure in the heart of Stockholm. If you're on the hunt for high-quality and authentic North Indian flavors, look no further. Although I was a bit late to the party, my first dinner experience here was nothing short of spectacular. The Rarha Gosht, naan, and pani puri I savored yesterday were so delightful that I couldn't resist returning today to explore their subtle yet scrumptious brunch options. This time, the chole bhature stole the show.
While the portions are standard, the quality and taste are off the charts. Harminder Paaji, the owner and chef, has truly mastered the art of contemporary Indian cuisine. I wish him immense success in spreading his culinary expertise and passion for authentic flavors. Mister Singh has certainly earned a spot in my regular dining...
