Bitza — Restaurant in Stockholm

First, I wasn’t sure if I was going to write a review. I like to focus on positive experiences, and in this case, I thought that it was not them, it was us, when it comes to the food. But the way the waitress handled our feedback before we were paying, changed my mind.

What are the odds that 3 out of 3 people can’t even finish a dish that sounded so good in theory? Really dry pizzas with really dry toppings, and such strange flavors that they were unedible. I’m not the picky type, but I could hardly push one slice down my throat.

My friend ordered a salad and she was offered to add one extra ingredient to it “for just a few crowns”, so she took some extra feta cheese. When we got the bill, it turned out that the “few crowns” meant 55 SEK. So her salad cost 155 + 55 = 210 SEK! A dry salad with chicken that tasted really off.

The waitress noticed that we were not eating our food, and she asked if everything was okay, and I kindly told her that it’s not okay actually, and probably it’s us and not them but we can’t eat our food, it doesn’t taste any good. Then she just made a face and turned her back at us, left and never came back! Horrible customer experience. Why not ask us what we didn’t like about the food? Why not just be upfront and ask us about our experience? How could they make things better?

Stopped by for dinner with 3 colleagues without a reservation. We were able to get seated quickly and out in our drink and appetizers. Then the wait began. It took 20 minutes to get the appetizers, shortly after we were able to put in our pizza order, and that took another 20 minutes to get the pizza served. The service was unorganized. When we asked to put in an order one guy told us we have to wait for another server to take the order. He only delivered the food. Strange experience for me.

Pizza wise this is the real deal. Despite the service debacles the food was well worth the wait. I look forward to trying this place again and hopefully the servers have their game down on the...

Been here three times now; one when they just opened for lunch, one Friday night dinner and one Saturday lunch. The latest visit definitely delivered the best pizza. Köfte pizza and one burrata pizza, both fantastic. However, the experience was brought down by TERRIBLE service. Had to fight to get the attention from the waitresses. First, 20 min until we got to order. After that, we had to pretty much grab one of the waitresses to get the check. Not only that, it took them 15 min to deliver the check, and another 15 to come and get the credit card. The place had some guests at the time but no way near what justifies this poor and slow service.

In essence: good pizza...
