Barbro — Restaurant in Stockholm

Japanese fusion, tapas (small plates) styled restaurant. Food we ordered was all quite good. Fish tasted fresh. My favorite was probably the fried beef dumplings. Least favorite was the fried chicken, as it was mainly batter and sauce, and the chicken itself was a little dry.

Ambience and decor is fun and trendy. Service and staff were all friendly and helpful.

Only downside I would say is the price. At ~100-150kr ($10-15) a plate and 2-3 plates per person, the bill stacks up fast. If you come hungry and want a drink, be prepared to pay 500kr+ ($50) per person.

That being said I’d still come back and recommend this place for a special night out. Just not on...

The food was okay. The shiitake mushroom dumplings were very good and came with a nice soup. However, the sushi is nothing special for the price you pay and the service was terrible. The staff ignores you and looks confused at anything you need such as waiting to be seated, taking orders or paying. Food was great, good plating, flavour/ingredient combinations, but tiny portion size and high price. Nice decor, atmosphere was okay but it was very over packed, busy and loud to the point it was hard to have a conversation without yelling and leaning in, service for some would be considered great as the waiter that served us was very entertaining with a bit of a outspoken confidence, making jokes, giving tips but I personally found it a bit much.
