Le Rustique — Restaurant in Stockholm

Unfortunately this was not a good experience for us, in terms of both food and service. The cold Meze were not bad, “lagom” I would say, nothing makes it stands out from the other Lebanese restaurants. The grilled dishes were horrible, most of the pieces were burnt with black parts, and they tasted of burnt bitterness. From the halloumi to the meats to the vegetables, all of them were bitter. The lamb was very dry and hard to chew on. On top of that, their service was not ok. Firstly, they never filled our water, we had to request multiple times to get someone notice us. Secondly, we ordered some wine but never got served, and we simply couldn’t get hold of the waiters to remind them. It was really hard to get any waiter to our table. Please note that we were sitting at a table where the waiters squeezed behind two of us all the time, it was not like we sat in a hard-to-notice corner. When one of my friends kindly requested more bread, he got a mean look from the waiter. It was a pity that all of us felt...

Used to enjoy this restaurant, but the last few times have been a terrible experience. First on Valentines Day, we booked a table only to arrive to a restaurant that had seriously overbooked itself and we we asked to wait up to an hour for our table...we left.

Second time this spring, we arrived and got a table only to wait over 40 minutes with no menu or service whatsoever. Completely invisible. We left.

Third time this summer, we came one last time to try to eat here with some friends. Again, got a table, but were asked not to order any food because the kitchen was too busy....there were 2 other tables with guests at the time. We asked to order drinks and the waitress said she didn't know how to make our drinks so we should order something simple. Waited an hour to get food, which was good, but the service was so bad we couldnt wait to get the bill and leave.

I don't often give reviews, but this was one of the best restaurant experiences I have had anywhere.

We brought our double stroller with two small children. Granted, it was lunch time and not very crowded, but the head waiter gave us very much attention. He took care to ask what vegetables the kids like and not, was there the moment we were ready to order without being pushy and in general made us feel like we were most welcome, something that's rare with two noisy and messy children.
