I was very happy to return to Vaxjo this year and made sure to eat at Galai again. I was not disappointed. Another wonderful meal at this up-scale, cool eatery.
I started with langoustine that had a lovely subtle sauce. Tender and really delicious. For the main course I had char in a soup of fresh, barely cooked, vegetables and fennel. See the picture, it was amazing. I ordered a side of boiled potatoes, a Swedish staple.
Great restaurant. Hopefully I'll visit here again next year.

I got to talk to the waitress and how the place is so warm and inviting. "Chill vibes" essentially. She mentioned that it's true tonight but tomorrow and Saturday, after 2200, they have a live DJ and they turn into like a little dance club. Good to know!
I enjoyed dinner there today though! The warm cozy place is inviting and the staff is super friendly.
I'm staying in the area and not being Swedish, this place was recommended to me by the hotel lobby. I'm so glad they did! The swedish meatballs were amazing and filling! The creme brulee was also really good!!
