Happened to be in Aarau for some hours and discovered this gem!! What an incredible place and what an experience !! The owner is super friendly, we had a quick chat about… coffee and he prepared for me a very very delicious peachy lychee v60. Stayed in the place for some hours to work and I look forward to next visit and to coffee bean purchases from their online store!

Fantastic coffee shop in the best location of the town with outside seating. Great ambiance and rustic cozy interior. The service was great as well. I ordered the cappuccino and the chocolate cookie. The coffee was good not burned and balanced. Good quick stop en route to Bern. Will come again if in the area.

WOW - I haven't been to Home Barista before, but I want to share my calling experience here. I was actually just calling to find out which grinder they would recommend... Philippe took my call. Super friendly and you could feel his passion for coffee on the phone =) He took the time to discuss each item I wanted to buy and make recommendations.He even gave me the mobile phone number in case I had any further questions - that's what I call service! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I am looking forward to visit you in Aarau =)...

Home Barista Shop is the top dog of coffee shops in Aarau and the region.

I am a frequent visitor and have always had a great experience. The employees are relaxed and experienced in coffee. They are masters of their trade.

The selection of coffee blends and the various preparation options are great. You can also ask them if you like to have a special coffee.

Whether indoors or outdoors, the ambience is inviting all year round. Upstairs, there are cozy corners to work or linger.

Ein Kollege hat mir diese Lokal für Italienischen Kaffee empfohlen. Beim betreten des Lokals war ich positiv gestimmt: Ich traf auf ein sehr schönes Lokal mit tollem Ambiente und feinem Kaffeeduft in der Lift. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der bestellte Espresso hatte eine schöne Crema, war kräftig, aber nicht überragend. Dennoch war mein Interesse als Kaffeeliebhaber geweckt. Daher habe ich verschiedene Packungen Kaffee gekauft, da ich zuhause selber eine Barrista habe. Der zuhause aus dem Kaffee (z.B. Roma Extra) frisch gebrühte Espresso hat mich dann etwas enttäuscht. Er ist sehr kräftig, ergibt eine schöne Crema, hat mir aber zu wenig Frucht - und Beerenaromen. Zudem hat er recht viel Säure. Vermutlich wird der Kaffee in der deutschen Rösterei zu rasch geröstet. Insgesamt ist das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis bei den Kaffeebohnen nur mässig. Ich kaufe nun wieder meine Italienischen Kaffeebohnen von Bazzara, Kimbo, Caffen oder Quarta. Werde aber gerne vor Ort mal wieder einen Espresso trinken. Er ist für Schweizer Verhältnisse einer der besseren in der Region, kann aber Italienischen Espresso...
