First of all, let me say the service is next to none. Our family of 9 had less than an hour to have lunch, and they catered to us! The restaurant is approximately 10 mins walk to the train station where we had to board the Glacier Express. We had our amazing meal departed from the restaurant, and when I got to the train station less than 7 minutes before the train's departure, I realized I left my tickets on the table. With my legs in my hand and halfway back to the restaurant a black car stopped and said, "Get in", I think it was the owner/manager whoever he was he saved our entire trip! He drove us to the station with 0 minutes to spare. If you are ever in Andermatt, please stop by for a meal. I will never forget the food and...

We spent a few days in Andermatt. We loved the town, but we found that everywhere we went the menus were in German, and they were mostly pasta and pizza. There were a few times that we were turned away, because we hadn't made reservations.

The Toutoune was different. They welcomed us in. The waitress spoke enough English that we were able to communicate and ask questions. The menu had an English version. There was a wide assortment of food and the food was delicious. I had one of the several versions of Cordon Blue. My husband had a salmon dish. They also brought a Mediterranean appetizer, including hummus, fried cheese and vegetable balls as a gift.
