Pizza was good, a bit burned on the crust. Salad fresh and bit heavy on the dressing.
Service was a big issue. The servers were very nice and professional, but the managerโฆ rude. After being sat down and waiting for a bit, he came to take our order. I didnโt know about the custom that youโre supposed to order a drink when eating out in Switzerland. He said we needed to leave or take out if we didnโt order drinks. He also said it was customary to order two 20CHF pizzas and two 8CHF salads, even though we saw that one pizza and one salad was plenty to share. It was pouring rain outside, but we decided to take out so he didnโt lose any income. When we told him, he insisted we stay and said heโd make our order โjust for us.โ Thanks I guess?
Look, I know Swiss people can be straightforward, but thereโs a difference between being straightforward and straight up rude. Iโve traveled quite a bit and the tone in which he spoke to us was extremely dismissive and condescending. As tourists, we do our best learn the customs of our host countries, but of course we fall short sometimes. And never in my years of traveling have I been โeducatedโ about a custom...
ย ย ย Read morePizza was good enough, but there is a severe problem with serving customers. Even though the restaurant was full and most tables were waiting almost 60min for food, the staff still accepted new orders from walk-ins and by phone instead of politely declining due to lack of capacity and staffing. We didnt get any information, warning or excuse for our long wait. Please, dear staff, just accept and openly communicate that the restaurant's capacity is limited instead of squeezing as much money out of that day as you can by taking orders which take too long and do not meet your own quality standards. The restaurant is lacking air-condition as well and outside dining includes just space for 2 or 3 tables. Bino's should get their priorities straight first for a proper customer experience. We can not recommend this place if it is more than...
ย ย ย Read moreRequest for a change of table nearer to the window due to the houseflies circling our table, got denied by the owner and I quoted his words "This is normal". There were at least 10 houseflies flying around the restaurant as if something died there. That aside, I don't understand why he did not arrange us to be seated elsewhere when I clearly sound off my request and there were just 2 tables filled at that point of time. What is the point of coming over after our meal to ask how was it when you couldn't even do the one thing we asked? Your pizza was mediocre and we left there feeling really disappointed. Based on the replies you had given to the negative reviews, you will most likely be defensive and even suggest that I'm reviewing on the wrong restaurant. Time will be better spent if you figure out a way to get rid of...
