Britannia Pub in the center of Brig is an excellent choice for a relaxed outing or a break with a drink. The location is perfect, right by the train station and the main square, making it very convenient, especially if you are waiting for a train or want to enjoy the lively atmosphere of the town. The pub has a cozy ambiance, with plenty of seating both indoors and on the outdoor terrace, where you can enjoy views of the mountains and the town square. It’s not that enjoyable when you’re eating food that you feel you could have made better yourself. I’ve noticed that the food standards here in Switzerland aren’t the highest, so this wasn’t a surprise. It’s probably a good spot to grab a drink, but it’s a very noisy place.

I don’t really understand why they call it “fitness plates” if they’re supposed to be healthier. You’re given the choice between fries (?) or a very sad salad. And some of the “healthier” meat options include things like sausages and deep-fried spring rolls. Healthy? Definitely not. The food is drenched in butter, dressing, and flavors that remind me of fast food.

Our server messed up the order, so we got the wrong dish, but it was easily corrected—though we had to wait a bit longer. That was fine, though, and the service was good, which...

Leider kann ich es nicht empfehlen. Ambiente: Einrichtung ist grundsätzlich schön und stimmungsvoll. Beim Besuch sind mir aber markante Beschädigungen aufgefallen. Auch nach mehreren Gastwechseln wurde nicht einmal ein Tisch abgewischt. Sehr schade, da das Personal einen Lappen vor Ort hatte. Auch unsere Getränkekarten klebten. Diese wären aber einfach zu reinigen, da vollständig plastifiziert.

Getränke: Auswahl wäre interessant, leider erhielten wir nicht, was wir bestellt hatten. Nach Aufmerksam machen wurde das Getränk dann mit dem Original gemischt und wieder serviert. Verrechnet wurde stets das Original. Ein No-Go! Fehlermanagement und Coaching scheint hier leider nicht zu existieren.

In der Karte wird man in kleiner Schrift aufmerksam gemacht, dass die Getränkepreise variieren können, wenn ein DJ auflegt. Variation nach oben versteht sich.

Essen: wir hatten nur Snacks aus der Karte. Diese waren enttäuschend. Ich finde genau diese Produkte beim Discounter und kann sie mir Zuhause liebevoller zubereiten. Schade. Die angebotenen Mahlzeiten haben wir nicht probiert, hierzu kann ich keine Bewertung abgeben.

Service: Es gab an dem Tag reichlich Servicepersonal. Trotzdem sassen wir lange vor leeren Gläsern. Wir haben die Organisation des Personals als sehr chaotisch empfunden. Es scheint keine genaue Zuteilung von Bereichen oder Tischen zu geben. Ebenso würden wir von 4 verschiedenen Personen bedient. Jede Servicekraft scheint alles selbst zu machen - Bestellung, Zubereitung der Getränke, Rechnungsstellung und Abkassieren. Engagement haben wir gesehen, das Personal ist viel unterwegs und läuft schnellen Schrittes von Bar zur Terrasse und zurück. Jedoch weil es keine Struktur gibt, gibt es somit phasenweise keine Besetzung der Bar. Professionell geht heutzutage anders. Das lässt sich bei diesem traumhaften Personalschlüssel realisieren.

Preis-Leistung habe ich daher als absolut ungerechtfertigt und frech empfunden. Ganz klar:...
