We were really excited to try this place, it was highly recommended for the fondue. The servers were friendly in taking our reservation, seating us outside and talking through the menu. Personally, I think the Raclette was better than the Fondue. We ordered the bacon option and it was really tasty - definitely worth trying. The fondue was just ok. Most of the bread was stale, the vegetables were a little dry and the cheese lacked flavour. The worst part of the night was when a couple came in to the restaurant and sat on the table next to us and proceeded to start smoking. We were still eating and for us, this ruined our experience which wasn't cheap. Be mindful the price for fondue is per person. Delicious Swiss food, the only thing that surprised me is that every person has to order a meal even for young kids like 5 years old, otherwise they will charge CHF 5 for each headcount. I lived in Switzerland for many years, this is the first time I encountered this, but could be because this place is near to Italy and has some little Italy culture. My niece is 5 years old, but fair enough the owner inform us in advance of the fees and I ordered additional meal to avoid the charges.

Wir haben keine Worte um dies zu beschreiben, können einfach nur sagen " peinlich" Für unsere Geschäftskunden vom Ausland, wollten wir einen traditionellen Abend anbieten und haben das Restaurant mit dem einheimischen Namen "Walliserstuba" gewählt. Ein weiterer Grund dafür war, dass dieses Restaurant Raclettekäse der Augstbordkäserei anbietet, da wir aus Turtmann sind. Die Kunden, welche noch nie Raclette gegessen hatten, haben wir vorher informiert und alle freuten sich auf die neue Entdeckung. Jedoch waren wir als Schweizer selbst höchst über enttäuscht. Weder wurde der Raclettekäse in unserer gewöhnten traditionellen Art serviert, noch war dieser kaum von der Augstordkäserei in Turtmann. Einfach geschamsckslos... Service konnte verstand kein Deutsch geschweige den Walliserdeutsch .. das Wort Raclette à discrétion hatte das Servicepersonal noch nie gehört. Vor unserer Kundschaft mussten wir dem Servicepersonal erklären, dass wir Raclette à discrétion bestellt haben und um die nächste Portion kämpfen... höchst peinlich. Ich habe keine Worte hierfür wie peinlich es uns war die Schweizer Tradition in einem Schweizer Restaurant ( zu mindest mit einem Schweizer Namen " Walliserstuba" ) mit einer höchst unangenehmen Art vorgestellt zu haben.

Wir bedauern sehr, dass die Schweizer Tradition dermassen verfälscht und von unprofessionellen Leuten präsentiert wird.

Der servierte Raclettekäse war mit hundertprozentiger Sicherheit nicht von der Augstbordkäserei.
