Had it on my ‘to-try-list’ for quite some time. Finally made it there having had a clear idea what I want to try. Entering it, the place was packed and we were probably the only non-Albanians in the house. The interior quite cute with their local and traditional dresses.
I was curious about their stews and soups as a grill platter can be done easily.
Bean stew with Sudzukh was awesome and the Chicken Soup with eggs incredible. The amount of garlic kicked the most and helped me with my cold too - thanks for that! The burek with cheese exactly how I expect it to be. The deserts were very tasty too.
The service was a little overwhelmed at the beginning and didn’t really know how to handle non-Albanian speaking customers. Nevertheless the third waiter did a great job.
What can be improved? I tried to reserve a table with a simple phone call - both calls ended up in nirvana. My email might reached them too but I didn’t get any response. We were lucky to get a table that day but please try to catch up with communication…

We visited for a birthday dinner, and it is now one of my favorite restaurant discoveries in Kanton Zürich.
I was lucky to travel around Albania and North Macedonia for a food and travel writing project a few years ago, so I've tried some of the best agritourismos and restaurants there. Our meal at Plisi ranks as high as those places.
The burek is excellent and freshly made, the dish with beans was fantastic (I'm very selective on this kind of dish), the goulash was very good, and the mixed grill and starters were varied and delicious. I'm looking forward to our next visit and will bring more...

Ich habe dieses albanische Restaurant besucht, da ich neugierig auf die Küche und das Ambiente war. Leider war der Besuch eine Enttäuschung.
Preis: Die Preise sind günstig, was positiv ist. Service: Das Personal ist freundlich, aber sehr ungeschult und wirkt oft überfordert. Essen: Die Qualität des Essens lässt stark zu wünschen übrig. Es wirkte billig zubereitet, das Brot war kalt, und das Besteck und Geschirr waren unzusammenhängend und von minderer Qualität. Ambiente: Die Idee mit albanischen Kleidern, Sofas und Teppichen ist grundsätzlich gut, aber die Umsetzung ist billig und lieblos. Die Dekoration wirkt willkürlich, und Kabel sowie Kameras sind überall sichtbar, was das Ambiente stark beeinträchtigt. Es wäre ratsam, einen Innenarchitekten hinzuzuziehen, um das Potenzial dieses Restaurants zu nutzen.
Der Raum ist überfüllt mit Tischen, man sitzt sehr eng beieinander, und die Lautstärke im Restaurant ist extrem unangenehm.
Als Albaner kann ich leider nicht verstehen, wie dieses Restaurant die albanische Kultur repräsentieren soll. Es fehlt an Liebe zum Detail, und die Qualität ist in allen Aspekten mangelhaft.
