Here's the deal with SPIKISI - it's undeniably charming and super friendly and welcoming and all that. It's in some million year old building in a small street with just a few tables and a tiny bar. Gimmie a break you love it as soon as you see it. In fairness as someone who isn't in Geneva very often, pretty much every place seems that way, but I do think SPIKISI is a bit more authentically worthy of the feeling. There was honesty in their eyes, there were regulars on the street, there was just regular folk hanging out and stuff. It's great. We got a table outside, which is always cool because it's a bit more casual and we can talk to other people who are out there eating and/or smoking and/or eating cigarettes which is basically the level it seems most people in Geneva consume their cigs. But anyways.

My group of 6 got a bunch of recommendations from people around us and we all ordered burgers and they were all reasonably good. The fries/chips were hot and fresh and delicious. As someone who eats a lot of really great burgers I can say that I very much enjoyed the burger at SPIKISI - freshly made, sturdy-but-overly-large bun, italian style toppings, etc - but just keeping it real it was nothing special. It's a typical weirdly dense European burger, albeit a well executed one. TONS OF POTENTIAL, but not quite there yet.

So...

Ate here for the first time today, but it will certainly not be the last. The food was delicious, best gourmet burger I have had in Geneva so far (comparing to Blaqk, Hamburger Foundation, Roadrunner, and Burgerland in a distant last place). I had the Spikisi burger. Perfect and the meat was not overcooked. Portions are generous. The only blip is we tried to modify an order and they got that wrong. I still strongly recommend...

Went there with my wife one Saturday noon. We didn't know this place. It was an excellent surprise. Incredible choice of Hamburgers with even better choice of ingerdients. The prices are correct and the service is very good. The only bad point was the dessert, we took a panna cotta with nutela. The panna cota was a bit too stiff. Still, over all a great place!!! We will go there again for sure. Next time we will take...
