Kyo Sushi — Restaurant in Geneva

RACIST STAFF I was very sick (cold & flu) so decided to try the soup. The waiter was rude from the start. I think he didn't like that I just ordered a soup. I was complimenting the restaurant and had a small chat with him and he asked me where I was from and I told him 'Pakistan'. His whole face changed. Upon finishing really yummy and delicious soup, I asked for the bill but he really didn't bother and just kept me waiting. Another lady who was also serving was more considerate towards me and she also reminded him twice. I was kept waiting for 15 minutes even though there was hardly anyone during lunch time. He at last came to me and asked me if I would like to pay. That just blew me away and I asked him if he was doing this purposely. He didn't even reply back. WHAT A WASTE OF SUCH A GOOD...

Arrogant waiter.

I'm friendly and polite. I walked in, explained that I didn't have much time since I had to leave for an appointment, so if there was anything that could be done quickly. Since that moment, the guy was acting like I was a beggar or something, did not attempt to look for fast options just said "look at the menu". Obviously, food took a while and with my rush I didn't realize the absurd prices- my bill was 45 CHF for 8 nigiri and a bottle of water. Guy was rude until the end. Very representative of the "I'm doing you a favour" attitude you can unfortunately find a lot here.

Sushi was good, but...

Laissez moi commencer par UN mot qui résume cet endroit: NUL. Hospitalité NUL: le patron qui fait le service m'a fait poireauter quelques minutes à l'entrée du restaurant par ce qu'il faisiait la papotte à des clients. Le. restaurant était pratiquement vide et j'ai du moi-même m'imposer pour être assis. Je sentais déjà que je gênais. Il m'a refait le même coup lors de l'addition, où il m'a fait poireauter d'abord 10 minutes, puis est venu me dire que l'addition allait venir, et après cela m'a fait poirauter encore 5min. Pendant ce temps il papotait avec un ami ou un client au bar. Rien d'autre. Une cliente pendant le service l'a appelé et à même du crier pour avoir son attention et le patron a trés clairement décidé d'ignorer l'appel. Bref l'hospitalité n'est pas son truc et il a donc clairement choisi le mauvais métier. Passons à la nourritue. J'etais venu manger des sushi, mais quand j'ai vu à quoi ressemblait la vitrine réfrigérée du comptoir sushi, j'ai très vite changé d'avis! Ca faisait peur! J'ai donc decidé. de manger un boef tataki. Celui-ci est venu froid et je pense, sans trop me tromper qu'il avait dû être cuit ultérieurement. Généralement, le tataki est cuit (donc chaud) à l'exterieur et froid (cru) à l'intérieur. Finalement le cadre: NUL. Pour avoir habité 8 ans au Japon et pour avoir été en contact avec le raffinement japonais au quotidien, tout l'art au mur ainsi que la deco sont médiocres. Des tables au chaises en passant par la pose du papier peint au mur, tout est bon marché et mal fait. Y a qu'à se réfèrer au patron pour comprendre pourquoi cet endroit (que je n'appelerai pas...
