Spaghetti D'Oro — Restaurant in Geneva

A nice classic Italian restaurant in the Carouge district area, located close to Planpalais. Their pizzas are massive and delicious😋, and the pastas are filing and satisfying 🤤. My favorite is the black ink seafood pasta 🍝. The portion is large and packed with shrimps and 🦑!! Highly recommend trying this pasta if you like seafood. The prices start from 20-30+ CHF, so it's in the higher end, but the quality and service are spot on. You get what you pay for here. The staff are very friendly and customer oriented, which makes the dining experience great. I haven't tried their wines, but their meloncello is the best. Ask for a shot or two after your meal. Avoid if you can - there are plenty of decent pizzerias in the neighborhood. Seems like this place has had a few complaints lately. Now I understand why. The staff is indifferent about their jobs, has given up on their restaurant, and is hostile to the customers. They scolded our kids for using the bathroom while waiting for a table, and demanded thank-yous. Our experience there ended with a very testy exchange with the floor manager and his underlings. Pesto Pasta tasted so fresh, generous quantity and the BEST. Pizzas were ordered as Take out - Margharita and Vegetariana. Guess the Chef is from Napoli as the pizza reminded me of the one that I had in Napoli. THE BEST PIZZA in Geneva. Loved it. Waitress is kind enough and spoke English.
